In Thursday's Skull Session, Jeff gave us the following reason to look on the bright side of this season's bowl ban:
I would urge you to adopt this simple mantra: no bowl = more time for Urban’s recruiting machine to tout a 12-0 program.
Honestly, it’s that simple. Just thinking of Meyer and company with all of that free time on their hands makes me giddy, and you know how they’re spending it…in recruits’ living rooms.
His statement reminded me of when the following image was swirling around the internet. At the time it was little more than a pipe dream. (I remember saying at the time that there was no way Fickell and Vrabel would stay if Urban was hired. So much for my predictive powers!)

Now this picture is a reality. I can't wait to see the haul these gentlemen are able to bring in this year! Man, it's good to be a Buckeye! :-)

not sure if its just my computer, but Urban looks high off his ass
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
Its not just your computer he looks like he should be going to White Castle
Buckeye till I'm dead

They are going to have that much more time due to the dead period. I'm not sure why people keep forgetting this.
Dead period doesn't start until December 17th. Still gives Urban and co 3+ weeks from the end of the season, which is going to make a pretty good difference
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
But will recruits be showing more interest in the schools that are still playing? It is to easy to forget those who are done even if someone is trying to recruit you.
Jim Tressel vs. Rich Rod = Urban Meyer vs. Brady Hoke
I do not think it will have much impact on recruiting but it should contribute to Urban maintaining life balance which is good.
My thoughts exactly. Curious to see any recent interviews with Coach to see how he's adhering to his daughter's contract.

I read an article somewhere last week with his daughter that said he had been keeping his commintments to the family. She said he was doing better with the contract than even she expected him to to.
Yes there are two Buckeyes in Ann arbor on this site!
Awesome to hear!
Not the best picture Coach Meyer has had, that's for sure.
