Congratulations to all honored, including 12 football players, among them C.J. Barnett, Mike Bennett and Ben Buchanan.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sixty-one Ohio State student-athletes have been named Academic All-Big Ten, the conference office announced Thursday. In all, 816 conference student-athletes from seven sports were honored.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners who are in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher
The women’s soccer team led the way for Ohio State with 14 honorees, followed by football with 12 laurels. Field hockey and men’s soccer each had 10 honorees, while seven women’s cross country student-athletes were named Academic All-Big Ten and women’s volleyball recorded five.
The women’s volleyball team concluded the year with a 23-11 record and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the fourth-consecutive year. Seniors Mari Hole and Emily Danks and junior Kaitlyn Leary earned All-Big Ten honors.
The women’s soccer team finished the year with a 16-4-2 overall record, claiming its third Big Ten Tournament title, while advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth time in the past six seasons. Tiffany Cameron, who concluded her Ohio State career as the program’s all-time leading goal scorer, was named an NSCAA second team All-American.

Anybody have a total for all the schools and their respective rankings? Thanks.

All I could find out was that Northwestern led with 95 total, and 34 football honorees. Minnesota was second with 31 and Penn St. third with 28. That's all I got so far.
Edit: total honorees: Iowa has 53 Purdue 45 scUM 64 of course OSU 61
Edit: football honorees: scUM 16 OSU 12

I know Coach Meyer puts a great emphasis on education and taking care of business, just curious if anyone knows how this first year compares to Tressel's time here?

^ Eh I kinda doubt it. One of the fundamental truths of college football is that emphasis on education and Major D1 football programs do not go together.
Look at Tressels work on our APR score. We must be doing something, but nah probably not.

I would argue that APR scores say very little about a school's committment to academics. Let's not kid outselves - very few D1 college football players are pushed to do well in the classroom.
Lol Ivon Blackman. He showed up once or twice in my Russian Politics class and never came back. Thought he may have been placed in the wrong class, had no clue he was actually a PoliSci major.
