So we have two spots to fill next year at linebacker for our silver bullets. Who do you think is gonna step up and earn the starting spots? I think it would be difficult for a freshman to start unless we land Mitchell and he comes in and blows people out or JUCO Tommy Sanders who has some experience. If we land Trey Johnson I think he could contribute on special teams but not compete initially for a starting spot. Here's my best guess who do you think will start?
Will- The Ryan Damn Shazier
Mike- This is a tough one most people would put Grant in here but I'm not sold on him I'm gonna throw a new name in here and say Williams has a good spring and starts at mike
Sam- This is a battle between Perry, Marcus, Crowell, and Perkins I see Perry winning this one unless Marcus has an unbelievable spring.

My guess is same as yours...Shazier, Williams, Perry.
Backups: Mitchell, Grant, Perkins
RDS, Mitchell & Johnson. I hope I'm wrong about one of the 2 frosh and someone else steps up. Maybe the light turns on for Grant...
I think going from freshmen to sophmore in DIV-1 is a huge step. Going to come down to who puts the most effort in during the off season.
Shazier, Grant, and Perry.
You have to assume if we get a JUCO they will start right away. Otherwise you're just tying up a scholarship that you could be using on a kid you can develop for their whole career, not half of it. Urb and staff wouldn't waste a scholarship like that. If they offer a JUCO kid, I think it's a safe bet they think he will play right away. So I'll go Johnson in the middle, Shazier at the Will and Perry at the SAM.
When told OSU set school record for 50+ games this year, UFM said "That's good. We're gonna break that next year."
Shazier, Grant, Marcus or Perry. I think or hope that Curtis Grant has the light switch on like another talented late-bloomer, Etienne Sabino. Perry has more experience, but Marcus is definately athletic enough to make a difference. I think the experience of one spring under coach Meyer will be huge difference for any of the new comers.
And Mr. Shazier... he sounds like a man with some bad intentions. I am very excited to see how he comes out in 2013. If I were a projected starting QB or RB for a B1G school on the Buckeyes schedule, I might be looking for a hardship transfer or medical redshirt...

Shazier, Grant , and Perry.
I would guess Shazier, Grant, and Perry, but I think there will be some competition from Cam Williams, Perkins, and Crowell. If I'm not mistaken, I heard Jamal Marcus was seen practicing with the D Line later in the season, so he may become another pass rusher. We'll see.
