Anyone going to the game @ Cal next season? I live close to Los Angeles and I'm going to drive up to Berkeley for the game and it would be great to meet up with some fellow Buckeye fans! Any info on tailgating or seating would be great! Go Bucks!

I am planning on going as of now....
I'm trying to talk the wife into making the trip as her cousin lives ~30 minutes from Berkeley....
I am planning on going as well
yea im planning on goin with my girlfriend and one of her sorority sisters, who grew up in Ohio, and her boyfriend. we are gonna stay with my girlfriend's sister in San Francisco
My wife and I will be heading out for the game. We're going to spend a week in Yosemite, catch the game, and then spend a week up in wine country. We our definitely excited to get out there. Our last vacation before we start for kids. Can not wait. Would love to catch up with fellow Buckeye fans.
Heads up on Yosemite. They have had a very bad breek out of Hantavirus this year.I believe even a few deaths so check before you go there
Will do. Thanks.
Most definitely will be there - anytime they are on the west coast it makes for an easy trip from Seattle. Although it is more than just a short drive - about 12 hrs!
I will definitely be there! I have friends who are alumni there and they will be purchasing the tix for me!

Driving from yuma az. We'll have to develop the official 11w handshake to ensure we keep the posers out.
Fundamentals are a crutch for the talentless.
I think the official double-secret 11W handshake has to be done with a beer offered/taken with left hand while right hands shake.

Time and Change will surely show, how firm thy friendship O-HI-O!
I will definitely be there....I live in SJ
Driving from Eureka, CA. I will be there, along with my brothers, son and wife.
I live in Northern Cali and I will be there
2,000 miles to far away from me lol Think I'll stick to my couch.
Definitely going.
I made a shirt that has a buckeye leaf and the saying "Cal Fans - Don't try to smoke it, it's just a Buckeye leaf"
@Alex or Jason, or a Moderator - who's giving every single person & comment on this thread a downvote? What's up?

Bert Bielema must have got an 11w membership to extract revenge via downvote.
Nothing like dancing on the field in 02...
I was gonna fly out to the Wisconsin game since its a direct flight from Columbus to Phoenix to watching them play the Sun Devils the same day since we have family in Tempe. However, now that Bret is gone and I can't watch his team lose, I'll take another flight from Phoenix to Oakland so that I can see the Buckeyes play in California. Count me in! We shall revisit this thread one year later if the world hasn't ended by 2012.
Sidenote: I see we have a downvoting troll.
Ohio State's band SLAUGHTERED Michigan's band. If this were a football game, it would have been Florida State vs. Savannah State. - SB Nation following OSU vs. UM 2012
Yea i agree we'll figure it all out as the game gets closer, but good to know lots of Buckeye fans are planning on going! cant wait!
I'll be going. I live in NorCal too.
To those who have never been to a Cal game: there isn't much tailgating as there just isn't a lot of parking. That isn't to say it isn't possible to get a tailgating pass.
Most people hit the bars (pappy's, henry's pub, or kips) and then walk up the hill to the stadium. Don't miss Top Dog either.
Get ready for a completely different game experience. They care about their team but it's just different. If Cal loses, Berkeley doesn't shut down like Columbus does if we lose.
Oh, and the new seats can be crowded. Those of you that have sat in the top rows of B deck know what I mean.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!
What do you mean the city doesn't shut down? What normal person WOULDN'T riot when their team loses? That doesn't sound like a world I want to live in. ;)
We can't stop here; this is bat country...
Agree with this 100%
My wife and I plan on flying out for this one. We have a lot of Berkley and Buckeye family up there who we will be going to the game with us. I lived up there for awhile but never made it to one of their games. I did make it to a Saturday Night Stanford game and it was definitely a different feel than what we are used too.
I was going to go to Cali for a little sight seeing adventure around this time, so the Cal game is a must.
How firm thy friendship..
I'm currently a grad student at Cal, so you better believe I'm going and wearing my OSU Jersey for the whole week before. I did my undergrad at OSU, and the Ohio allegiance runs deep.
If people are looking for suggestions of things to do in Berkeley, let me know and I'll try to post a list. Berkeley's a beautiful place. I'll try to post a picture from last Friday in a few minutes.

If she's going to be there then yes, yes I will.

If you are going for the game rather than the Bay Area tour then you better book your room now at the Hotel Durant.
My Dad used to stay there when he'd visit for games. Hit Sproul Plaza an hour and a half before game time and then walk up the hill with the Cal Band
As has been pointed out above, this is nothing like Columbus on Saturday, but they try.
I grew up going to Ohio State games and my Mom and Dad tried to like the games when I went to Cal, but no cigar. That said, the stadium sits in the best CFB location on the planet, the band is maybe the best west of the Mississippi and the win is pretty much guaranteed!! The stadium will not sell out, but they give visitors terrible seats, and good seats are hard to come by, as the student section goes form 30 yard line to 30 and the other side is sold/given to donors, so even when there are only 45,000 seats sold (my guess is 50,000 for OSU), the stadium looks full is you don't have a wide angle lens
What's with all the downvotes?

I'll be driving from Pasadena for the weekend. Looking forward to seeing the Buckeyes play twice in Cali for the 2013 season!!!
I'll be out in SF for that weekend, so that means I'm going to the game!
