Would NCAA allow Gruden part ownership of the browns.

Some writer in. Memphis is clamming The browns owner will give Gruden part ownership of the Nfl team. He would be the next Tennessee head coach in return.

nevermind I found this.

APThe report that new Browns owner Jimmy Haslam is offering an ownership stake in the Browns to Jon Gruden if Gruden will coach Haslam’s alma mater, the University of Tennessee, has been denied by both men.
Asked on Mike and Mike in the Morning if there is any truth to the report, Gruden answered, “No, there isn’t.”
The Browns, meanwhile, released a statement also denying the report.
“Jimmy Haslam has no involvement in the University of Tennessee head coaching search, and the report that Jon Gruden would potentially have an ownership stake in the Browns is completely erroneous,” the statement said.
Gruden says his interest remains doing the job he’s doing, as ESPN’s Monday Night Football commentator.
“I’m just excited about Monday Night Football,” Gruden said. “I like what I’m doing. I’m just trying to hang on to the job that I have.”

Foreigner. Get over the grammar issues with this poster. Some of you may not know his origins but if we rate folks based off of the content instead of perfection we wouldn't have to know it.

I think most people are rating based on the ridiculous number of forum posts he creates...

You may be right and that can be aggravating. I didn't think that was one of the mandates for using the voting system. I haven't delved into that rule book in great detail.

Doubt the NCAA would care, but the Browns owner definitely would not allow it. If he was going to offer Gruden ownership stake, it would be to coach the Browns.

While OSUFORLIFE has terrible grammar or typing skills he is right. The Haslams own all of the Pilot gas stations. They're the largest donor to UT athletics and its been made known that they think Gruden would be a good fit.

It's bc he's not from the US...give him a f@#king break for crying out loud.  Not all of us are outstanding writers like Ramzy or... other's who think they're brilliant like OSU07ASU10.

Is it because he is not from the US that he started an awesome thread like this:

Coaching Changes

Rummors are that Pertinno will go to CAL

Or this:

Bill O'brien

I heard Bill O'briien wants to leave Penn State has a 9million buy out.

or this:

Auburn

I head on local radio they going hard after Petrreno, gus malzahn And Jumbo Fisher.

Fisher might take it would be a big pay raise  makes around 2.75 million a year.

or this:

Chris PETTERSON AT CAL or ARK

There is talk he might take the Cal or Ark jobs.

Couldn't all of this just been put under the "Coaching Changes" thread that he started.

No matter where he is from his 5+ threads a day with little to no relevant information really brings down the site material.

Agreed entirely. There does not need to be a constant barrage of threads with little discussion value/are entirely rumor based. I understand the English thing, but it's the constant barrage of threads with no substance, citations, or links that gets to me.

Not that he would take the job, but I believe the new Browns owner, Jimmy Haslam, wants Gruden to be the next Browns coach, not the coach @ Tennesee, and has been in contact with Gruden. Also, not that it means anything now, but he supposedly grew up a Browns fan.

Gruden would be the perfect choice for Browns coach. The city would embrace him and you just know Chuckie would LOVE to coach Trent Richardson and coach in the December snow against the Steelers.

I'm all for Gruden coaching the Browns. I didn't watch his QB camp with Weeden, I'm assuming he loved him. In all seriousness, Gruden would be a great fit. Just the slap to the head and kick to the nuts Cleveland needs.

Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.

Gruden offered the Purdue head coaching position. Will receive the city of Indianapolis as compensation. I beat you to the punch OSU4life

Like the Brown's stuff is a net plus...they should throw in some Enron stock and have the whole portfolio managed by Bernie Madoff.
