Now I know Indiana has been the little sister of the poor in the big ten, but they hung with us, Wisconsin absolutely destroyed them!! All I'm saying is I hope they don't look past this one, I think Urban will have them ready, but it looks like they are starting to click on all cylinders.

With tress worried but urb wants to crush belemia boy n I believe he will

All about match-ups on any given day. In all honesty, our defense played terribly against Indiana. I am very confident on this game. not worried, but excited!!!
I wouldn't say they're "clicking on all cylinders". Their offense is still EXTREMELY one-dimensional. If there's one thing Ohio State's defense has at least been okay at doing this year, it's stopping the run, which is the only thing Wisconsin's offense did against Indiana. Unless this Phillips guy can pull off the whole quick-passing game that has killed us this year, I'm not all that worried yet.
Wisconsin's defense is better than it has been in the past too, but I'm plenty confident that our offense can get it done.
I'm not going to be worried. I dont think the team will be worried. The better the team the better the Buckeyes play. If anything I think Whisky should be worried.
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Like Dubjay said, it's all about individual and schematic matchups on the day in question. Biggest myth in football is the idea that the winning team was the "better" team. Winning has little to do with being better and lots to do with using the specific things at which you are better in the right way.
i think we match up pretty well with Wisconsin. You always have to be a little concerned on the road and about our sometimes inconsistent play, but I feel good going in.
Not only do we match up well against Wisky, but I am not worried about this game. As mentioned above, they are very one dimentional with straigh ahead runs up the middle. We have been very strong against this sort of offense (MSU). They won't be able to stop us and the team will be fired up to play on the road.
Yes there are two Buckeyes in Ann arbor on this site!
NO NEED FOR ALARM haha. Wisconsin only threw the ball 7 times for 41 yards. They ran 64 times for 550+ yards. In other words--they were completely reliant on the run, and Indiana couldn't stop it. What's the best part of OSU's defense? We've been close to impossible to run on the second half of the season. Once Wisconsin hits the field and realizes they can't run on OSU the way they did on Indiana, they're going to have to rely on someone who's only thrown the ball 19 times in 4 seasons--uh oh!
We beat Wisconsin last year.
We are great against ground and pound teams, ask Le'Veon Bell. I think it will be a tough one, because Wisconsin is beginning to find their form. I could see Wisky winning this one.
We match up very well against Wisconsin. Should be a good game
I think Wisconsin presents a stiff challenge, but I wouldn't look to Indiana as a forecast for the OSU/Wisky game. The Silver Bullets have improved tremendously since that disaster in Bloomington and should keep that Badger ground game contained.

-Former OSU S&C Coach Lichter
You can't beat Ohio State by rushing. I wasn't worried and I still am not worried.
They are a decent team and we are on the road I see no reason why it shouldn't be a good game. One we should win, but we have looked very beatable at times this year so you never know.
Did he say "little sisters of the poor"?!?!
geeearf.

@ODEEZ330
Tressel was 3-1 against BB.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Worried? I don't know if we need to be "worried." But I do think we need to take them VERY serious. Wisconsin will be one of the toughest teams we've seen to date.
As said above, we are decent against the run we can't seem to stop the short passes. This is where we have gotten hurt all year. Should be a good game, but not overly worried.
No, just like last year...
We lost to Neb, Wisconsin beat them 48-17.
We lost to Purdue, Wisconsin beat them 62-17.
We lost to Penn State, Wisconsin beat them 45-7.
.... And then OSU dominates Wisconsin, well at least the line of scrimmage only allowing Ball 85 yards, while Boom had 165, which Hyde could replicate along w/ Miller chipping in 99 yards last year rushing. I'm not too worried. Not too mention they don't have a QB remotely close to being able to head into the NFL and start as a rookie like Russel Wilson....
We match up well with smash mouth teams, it's speed on the edge that hurt us on D. I'm not worried about their D stopping our O, especially w/ 2 games left coming off a bye week w/ an undefeated season in our sights. The boys' should be geared up and ready to go these last 2 weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if we dominated both games w/ players coming back and getting more healthy over the bye week.
Boxscore:
Passing: 4-7 for 47 yards. That ain't going to beat Ohio State.
Remember Pstate?
Coming into our game, they were considered the hottest and the best team in the Big by more than few football analysists.
And we all witnessed what happened.
Just enjoy this week's game,
and next week's and next year's run as well.
Maybe I'm looking too far ahead but,
26-0?
yeah, I think it's within reach.
Ill say it again pro style teams do not scare me at all esp ones that are on their 3rd string QB that threw a grand total of 7 passes the week before in his first start.
Indiana has the worst rush defense in the Big Ten. Wisconsin can beat Indiana the way they did with their running game, but that ain't gonna happen against us next week. Their offense plays right into what our defense does well, and our defense has been much improved from that Indiana game (where the score only ended up close because they scored garbage time points with a big assist to the refs).
Class of 2010.
Wisconsin doesn't worry me much at all. I just don't think they are that good. I may be proven wrong next week, but I just don't think so.
Carton-
If there is one thing I can personally guarantee you, it's that Meyer will not start off 26-0.
PS Has everyone forgot how Beavis tried to accuse Meyer of some BS when Dodson switched back to the good guys? My guess. Blowout. Don't F*** with Urban.
A "good" team, a team to "worry about" never fires their new O-line coach 4 or 5 games into his first season.
There is very little that worries me about next week. Our only chance for a loss will be Michigan, and if Denard isn't back by then, we should finish 12-0.
The schedule next year could very well be worse than this year. Figure the Ohio State offense stands to be really good next year I don't think it's crazy to imagine Meyer starting off 26-0. We're getting a bit ahead of ourselves, but it's not absurd to think that's possible. I thought it would be damn near impossible for this team to go 12-0 but they are on the cusp of that now.
26-0 will not happen. Let's put down the kool-aid for a second.
I didn't say it would happen, just that I could see it happening if this team goes 12-0 this season. They could lose the next 2 for all I know. I'm just saying if this team with all it's faults this year goes 12-0, there's no reason to think they couldn't go undefeated next season with a much worse schedule. Look at next year's slate of games, it's horrible. No MSU or Nebraska in conference and an even weaker non conference slate.
Alright, it is remotely possible. However, I am very concerned about the weakness of the schedule both this year and next. People are just not going to take us seriously unless we start to play some better competition. This year has been a total joke, and next year is even worse. Unless there are exactly 2 undefeated teams next year and we are one of them, I don't see any way we get into the title game.
Yeah, I mean there's really not much they can do about it. The conference is a joke and when they scheduled Cal years ago it looked like a better matchup. Who knows what will happen, but they can only play the games they have on the schedule. Plus, who knows there may be some surprise teams in conference next year.
I'm not blaming the team or those who schedule the games, I'm just saying it's going to be tough to make an argument that should you get in when you beat 0-1 ranked teams.
USC used to get in the title games when their conf. was weak and all they did was TCB. If the Buckeyes take care of buisiness the Buckeyes will get to the NC just like they did in years past when they were acused of haveing a weak schedule
No team plays the toughest schedule every year.
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Wisconsins offense = Michigan St's offense, except Wisconsin is even worse at throwing the ball.
Wisconsins defense <<< Michigan St's defense.
With an extra week to prepare and get healthy, and Urban on the sideline, I see a 2+ TD win for us.
"You're pissed because we went after a committed guy? Guess what, we got 9 guys who better go do it again," said Meyer. "Do it a little harder next time."
^ If there are three undefeated teams next year from major conferences, OSU will not get in. And what USC teams are you referring to?
Upon further review......of the Illinois game that is. I liked what I saw as far as some new plays we ran. Gotta believe Wisky is gonna see some new stuff also along with Meatchicken. I thought it was very interesting we used some new plays on a terrible Illinois team followed by a bye week. Me thinks Urban is playing mind games with Barney Bielema and Fred Hoke! tOSU 48 -Wisky 21. If it was in the 'shoe I think we could hang 63 on them. Gonna be a fun next two weeks! Go Bucks! O-H
Just remember, human polls make up 2/3 of the BCS formula. IF Ohio State goes 12-0 this year they are going to be in the top 3 preseason next year. So, an undefeated season with lots of impressive wins (margin of victory wise) could potentially have Ohio State in the top 2 in both Human polls and would be enough to carry them into the title game. Last year the computers liked Oklahoma state as the 2nd best team in the land, Human polls had Bama, and Bama got the nod.
Plus we got Sabino back!!
People can downvote all they want, but ask yourself this: If OSU were bowl eligible, and Oregon, KSU, and ND finish undefeated, who would go? Now what's going to change next year?
And I totally just opened the stall door on a drink dude shitting at chat bar
-The Aristocrats!
Not worried about Whisky at all. Their best chance is Ball and he wont break through the middle on us. We should have his number all day with that front line. As beatable as we have looked this year, Wisconsin has been beat. Not worried. These boys will be ready to play. Im sure even though many of them felt that they needed the bye week, they are ready to get out there and compete so they will take this game seriously. Plus it seems like we are starting to hit on all cylinders so we should be able to get at it.
And while were talking about not being worried, after watching NW/scUM, im not exactly worried about them either even being a rivalry game. NW was by far the better team but went back to doing exactly what they have done all this season and what they did all last season and that is let teams stick around by playing god awful defense. NW gave this game away scUM did not earn it. They are the same team as last year and we are leaps and bounds better than last year. No guarantees in rivalry games but realistically im not worried about either of these teams.
I dont think worried is the correct word more like *Ready* . We know wisconsin can play BALL.. I think our D will shut him down he will have some sucess on the ground but we will be ready. Camp Randall will be pretty dam loud so we need to shut them up quick and get momentum on our side early. Play tough d plus we get sabino back so our D will be healthy. I think this game will be tough but we should prevail. im excited for saturday big game right here then scUM . 2 games away from perfection. I give our boys props cause i was not thinkin we would be 10-0 right now not one bit.. Good job urban Good job Bucks. Lets take down wisky saturday while i take a couple shots of wisky berfore during and after the game lol. GO BUCKS BABY .

1st vote, agree gobucks
One thing that worries me is that Wisconsin has nothing to lose in this game as they have already clinched their division and will go to the title game. They may pull out all the stops and do what is unexpected. How many times this year early in the season did our defense say that the opponent had not shown us anything on film like they ran against us and that is what created problems for the defense.
Yes, any given Saturday! We should always be worried about our opponent, the minute we become complicate, is the minute we lose!
I agree that Wisconsin has nothing to lose... except the game. Their big high came off of winning the Leaders division spot in the B1G championship game this week. Now, everyone is gunning to knock of the 400lb gorilla (naturally an Urban Meyer-led OSU team) but I think this is a situation where Urban goes, well, full Urban on Bielema for giving him grief about recruiting. I hope (and believe) Urban knows Buckeye Nation thoroughly hates Wisconsin now (for previous championship-ending defeats, as well as the fact that they're... Wisconsin). They're the reason Penn State hates us more than we hate them. We'd hate PSU more if we didn't hate Wisconsin so much. Plus, I will be disappointed if Urban, out of spite, actually opens the entire playbook to embarrass them.
@buckeyeinannarbor---- you kinda contradict yourself by saying there's no/or almost no chance we can be 26-0, then you point out you're concerned next seasons schedule is just as bad/easy as this years. I agree the odds are against it but if we get thru this year unbeaten, the hardest part is behind us. We came off a losing season last year...next year we would be given better odds than this past season of running the table, at least until a BCS Bowl game. Sincerely, Nate Silver.
D. Anthony
I think we've all worried enough earlier in the year. Now it's time to just enjoy two big games to finish this thing out!
@MACEYKO 100% agree, only 2 more weeks of football left...... 9 prectices, 2 games, then it's all about recruiting till August, so time to have fun.
Wisconsin has lost all 3 games by only 3 point each, so yeah it's going to be a war. If the Buckeyes come out and play like the aren't expecting a war, then they'll get beat.
My biggest concern for the Wisky game is my wife. She takes a long time to get ready and the bar were we watch the games will be crowded. There's a good chance my favorite table won't be available. Will it make the Buckeye victory over Wisky any less enjoyable? Not at all. It's just makes it harder to get a drink!
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
We are finally seeing some decent depth along the DL. If Hankins and co. an do some business against the Badger O line then our patchwork LB corps should be up the challenge. If our D line cannot control the game then we are in a spot of trouble.
I think Wisky plays to our strengths... We have an awesome run defense (when we tackle, let's bury the Cal game in our head forever please...). We have fast perimeter play w/ the option, and our running game is stout, but is dangerous not necessarily from Hyde, but the zone read allowing our game to go from power to speed in an instant...
Folks, save the downvotes for trolls and jerks not opinions. The BCS champs over the last few years have all lost at least one game. Yes, anything is possible, but everyone is entitled to their opinions.
Signed...Buckeye fan for 38 years
Also...Whisky will come ready to play B1G champ game or not. We will play to the competition and win by 10.
Ship it !
Ha ha D. ANTHONY....I like what you did there.
This is going to be a dog fight folks...I think OSU will win but I'm going against my first 35-21 prediction and now going with 24-20. It will be closer than many expect...Wisky's defense will be ready...and I hope OSU's defense is too. Sabino back at LB should help if he's 100%...not so sure he is.

Should have taken the "we" out of the title and add at the end "about Braxton".
Wisconsin plays us tough every year, but we were able to beat them last year, and that was playing Walrusball... Their running game is our defenses strength, their QB is still unproven... oh, and we have this guy, you might have heard of him, named Braxton Miller.
No. I really don't have any concerns at this point. OSU has to prepare for a Wisconsin team they've played against several times and will have had 2 weeks with which to work. Wisconsin only has a week to prepare for something they haven't seen out of OSU, or anyone for that matter. Plus, if this is a close game as a lot of people are thinking, then it comes down to QB Play. When its winning time, which QB can make the plays he needs to-be it extending a play with his feet or making the big throw to close a game out. Calling Brax an advantage at this point is selling the young man short. Fact is, we have the second or third best football player in the nation (depending on your thoughts on Johnny Football)-that alone gives me all the faith I need. OSU easy. 37-14
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off

I think it will be close for a half. I'd say 14 all. Then, the three headed monster goes crazy in the second, and Bucks win 48-21... Sounds like a plan!
I keep telling myself that I'm not worried, but I don't know that I've convinced myself yet!

I'm worried about every single Buckeye game. but, what they've done the last ten games makes it a little easier on me. they've come from behind, played down to their competition, up to their competition, getting better at defense, and have blown the doors off teams with this new O run by thunder and lightning (hyde and miller of course). that all makes it a little easier. so if it's tied in the first half or in the third quarter, i know we can punch back, and I'll be happy when we do. but if we don't have an answer and can't really get things rolling, then I'll be worried. go bucks.
I like football
Why is Wisconsin favored by 3? I don't bet or check lines regularly but this seems odd to me.
Whisky plays at home?
O H I O is the Buckeye State
They're the ones that should be worried.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Anyone else agree if we kick to start the game, Basil should go for the touchback?

"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."
Its going to be a Man's game on saturday. Smash-mouth football. I think it all comes down to our defense stopping the run enough and forcing turnovers. Its going to be a tough game and right now I don't know what to expect. Hopefully Braxton and Carlos get rolling early and often.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet...an X-Factor they may be able to exploit is their use of TEs vs our LBs. They have 1
dangerous(walk-on) WR in Abbredairis, so we really don't have to worry about anything down field, but they do have a few capable TEs that they like to move around their cheese-curded LOS and pitch the ball out to. If their TEs are able to pick up 6-12 yards on a consistent basis, that will allow them to "balance" their play calling a little bit and keep our O off the field. With that said, I have faith that UfM and the defensive staff are fully aware of this, and are game planning with this in mind. Additionally, the healthy LB line-up of Shazier, Sabino, Boren and the way the D largely held Penn St's TEs in check makes me feel a lot better about defensing the power run+TE pass game than I did early in the season.
Meyer has a winning percentage of somewhere around 97% when he gets more then 1 week preparation, add in that it's a rivalry game and you see why I'm not worried
@ Rural
Sounds good to me!
