I know I was 8 years old and I would never miss a game on the radio. I would take an extension cord along with the radio to the back yard and I would replay the games with football in hand as it unfolded and the rest of the year too. And this was on my own as my dad wasn't the biggest fan. He didn't really have time to enjoy them, but was still a fan. He told me about OSU. Showed me how to get the games on the radio but that was it. Every once in a while a game was on tv along with the ttun game which was a big treat. So it was 1968 for me and it was a very good year, winning a national title. Absolutely loving sports my entire life, that was it, I was hooked. Haven't missed listening to or watching every single game since then, that I can remember. Always found a way. Which leads to the fact that I am still that kid with a football pretending to be Rex Kern winning a national title in the back yard. It is what keeps me young mentally, even though it is hard to tell. Thought the bye week would be good for this question. So when did you realize you were hooked on the Buckeyes?
