I loved watching him play. I think I resented him time when he sat against USC, for what I thought at the time was a minor injury. I cant remember what it was now.l
This video was pretty awesome and made me realize how much I took Beanie's ability to break tackles and get yards after contact for granted. With that being said, I can't wait to see a video like this for Braxton Miller. It could easily be 20 minutes long by the end of his career.
1:48 - 1:58 - He runs into a *ichigan defender's arms behind the line of scrimmage, spins 270 degrees, and takes off up the field. His change of direction on the play was absolutely amazing!
I miss watching this guy. I do not miss all of the injuries and wish he could ditch that injury bug to salvage a nice NFL career.

I guess this was made between his soph and junior years? Glaringly missing were the runs where he would vault over the defender in the open field. Those made me so happy :-)

The stiff arm against LSU will remain one of my favorite FU moments of all time. That along will him outrunning the whole LSU defense on that long run (SEC speed, what?!?!?!) was just awesome.
And then the rest of the game happened...but let's focus on the good! Beanie was a "grown ass man" when he was in high school.
When told OSU set school record for 50+ games this year, UFM said "That's good. We're gonna break that next year."
His stats in '07 (soph year) were ridiculous. Should have been in NYC at least (although I don't think anyone was going to challenge Tebow that year). The Illinois game took him and the team off the radar and the early end hurt his chances for an invite.
I always wished the full book would have been written on Beanie. Much like Clarett, we never got to see what a full career would have been. If not for his injuries, I think Beanie could have been a legend around here. Unfortunately, we will never know how his story would have ended had he been injury free.
Favorite game of his Mich 06'- His 50 yarder for a touchdown was huge as he spun out of a tackle in the backfield and his dive over the pile to sell the fake that opened up Ginn for a TD. Those were my two favorite plays by him. (of course there are hundrerds of great plays)

Speed, Size, Quickness, cut making ability Oh yeah and Vision....Rare combination. Yeah I miss him!
This may be blasphemy, but I think if he had the same line Eddie had during his career he would have re-written the record books and Montee would be chasing his record instead of the dude from Miami(OH).
@Andy, interesting thought. Not blasphemy, IMO. I disagree, based solely on his lack of durability. I do agree that his numbers would have been much higher for the games he played at full strength, I just don't think he would have been on the field enough to set any NCAA records.

After all the hype from this week, and now watching this video pumps me up.. I'm gonna go randomly speer one of my co-workers.. I'll let you know how that goes..FU(K MICHIGAN!!!
Without him we dont get to the NCG in '07-'08. If he didnt get hurt who knows what could have happened. That was the year he decided that trucking people was getting boring so he just jumped over them.
I hope he channels his inner-hatred for Michigan being this week and runs for 200 and a TD or 2...I picked him up in my fantasy leagues
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

Coming around I see. Good for you, let's keep it up.

4:04 to 4:10 = grown ass man status

When he was healthy, he was an absolute beast! Loved watching him when he was it his best!

Look at how many blown up backfields he had to deal with. Imagine what he couldve done with actual running lanes
Damn he could haul that ball.

Love it. Grew up in a Purdue family and moved to Columbus in 2008; Beanie converted me the first season I was in town.
Nice post.... I miss watching him play too.

I could watch Beanie stiff arm fools all day long
@ Alhan
Yep, this is was a hype video for Beanie's junior campaign so all the highlights were from his freshman and sophomore year.
Beanie Wells - probably my favorite all-time RB for OSU, up there with Archie & Eddie.
Beanie's a pretty cool guy, too.
