I know Barret is supposed to be a stud, but Trubisky is amazing. Last night this kid threw for 400 rushed for 100 and had 6 TD's against St. Iggy. Last week he threw for 478 rushed for 98 and had 6 TD's against St.Eds. I know people are going to say there is always a QB in Ohio that has sick numbers but NOT in Division 1 and certainly not against this kind of competition. I watched him live against Warren Harding in the first round a few weeks ago and was suprised how good this kid was. His last two games are on TV check him out and see for yourself he is the real deal. There is a reason we were in on him early we might want to take another look.

Was at his game last night. He is VERY accurate and more athletic than I thought. I wish we could have gotten him, but I think that ship has sailed.
What was the deal with him? Did Urban and Herman want to see him throw at camp or something and he didn't want to or what?
Does he fit a spread and run offense?
OSU had to see him throw more before they were going to offer. UNC was sitting there with an offer so he took it. Not a bad decision, great school, and no competition.
And he doesn't have to "play school" at unc and the NCAA and ESPN won't care!!

The more and more I hear about this kid the more I think the staff missed on a stud in our backyard
He's not going to decommit from North Carolina...Barrett will be fine. By the time OSU needs him he'll be a sophomore or Red Shirt Freshman...not worried. Trubisky HS team runs a spread offense...but so does Barrett's not to mention he's a better runner. OSU will take 2 QBs in the 2014 class as well (I say Barker or Crest and another sleeper QB that could come in as an ATH). Just my opinion but I pay close attention to recruiting and could see this happening.

No doubt in Urb I trust but if this kid is not an OSU caliber kid then I don't know who is. I know the ship has sailed on this one but this is one we will look back on and say he should have been a buck. He can throw it run it and manage a game better than a lot of kids I have seen. In his last two games he has torched two of the best teams in the country. I know we look at these kids from other places and we look at their star ratings and camp hype and we buy in to how good some of these kids are supposed to be but Trubisky is going to win Mr.Football and he is putting up REAL numbers in the playoff's against Harding, Iggy and Ed's these teams aren't the sisters of the poor.
Thanks for the down vote for pointing out unc's academic issues haha

Watched Mentor vs St. Iggy lastnight and I have to say that Trubisky will be a dominate QB at the next level. Kid has a good arm and is extremely accurate plus he is moble enough to eluded pass rush. I don't see him being as much of a dual threat but he will pass for huge numbers at the next level. UNC is getting a great player and I wish that he would fit our offensive style more but I see him as more of a pocket guy and not as much of a read option kinda guy. I know he is putting up really good rushing numbers but I don't see him runnng like that at the next level. IMO
Trubisky runs very similar to Colin Klein, but passes much better. I wish Urban would have pursued this kid more, as I think he will be a very good QB at the college level and probably a 3 year starter at NC. ACC defenses better be on the look out in a few years
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
I'm gonna go ahead and trust the guys that get paid to do this, have seen him in games and in camp, and still didn't see what they needed to.
This is a miss, but not because the staff didn't try. UNC came in late and stole him, OSU was still evaluating him and likely would have pursued him. Bummer to not get him, maybe they will still try.
When this sort of thing happens, I just thank god they didn't choose another B1G team and wish them the best of luck!
He had a non-commitable offer from OSU at the time he committed to UNC, and as others have said, OSU wanted him to wait so they could see him throw and so they could evaluate him further. I heard an interview with him from TOS prior to his commitment to UNC and he sounded like he really wanted to be a Buckeye but he was a little frustrated by the non-commitable offer business.
