I was just wondering if anyone saw who some of the teams that the U of sec is playing this week. I know that the Buck's strength of schedule is nothing to brag about, but this made me smile that these games were all scheduled during the same week. For the home teams, it appears to be a step above a bye week. The games that I refer to are as follows:
Western Carolina @ Alabama
Jacksonville St. @ Florida
Wofford @ South Carolina
Georgia Southern @ Georgia
some of these mighty SEC teams are battling these "powerhouses" into the 4th quarter. lol lol
On the radio down here, they nicknamed it the cupcake week. Even the sec slappies locally are mocking the scheduling.
Yeah, but they're smart enough to schedule the cupcakes late in the year when they're already ranked super high. I hate the SEC, but playing your cupcakes late year is smart.
That is a huge flaw with the big ten though, this conference needs to start playing more and more conference games earlier so they can do the non conference later. Of course no rivalry games but the others we could do early.
