Great day today! We looked awful at times as a team and good at times as a team. We did enough to win. I'm really happy for all those players, especially the seniors!
Actually, if you talk to their fans, they'll tell you Tressel was 8-1 against them. Last year after The Game, some idiot Michigan fan told me it had been over 700 days since Ohio State beat Michigan.
I did not think we would see another ten year war, but after today I am so excited to see two coaches who get it. Some may ride us that we do not get a bowl game, but I think every team in the B1G would like to trade places with us. Amazing year.
I wish more Michigan fans existed like you, not this after every time we win "what a bunch of cheaters" talk. I have a lot of respect for classy fans like you.
Would love to have someone confirm. I was wondering if maybe the camera just didn't get it or if Hoke really did run out of there without shaking hands.
It looked like they got blocked by the fans and media on the field and couldn't find each other to shake hands. UM (our Urban Meyer) was obviously looking for Hoke when a reporter was trying to interview him. Then a camera panned over to Hoke who was being escorted off the field by several of our finest. I don't think there was anything scandalous about them not shaking hands on the field.
Per relay of Twitter via MGoBlog, Angelique Chengelis of the Detroit News asked Hoke about it, and he said that he was looking for Meyer but they got cut off by the crowds and it looked hopeless. With all of the people on the field, it might have been dangerous for Hoke in the view of his security detail. It's a long way to run, for the visitors, to their tunnel in the 'Shoe. In addition, it looked to me like Meyer had gotten locked up with tv at the moment that Hoke was looking for him.
End of story, as far as I know. I think it is too bad that a handshake was effectively prevented, for whatever reason.
I believe the fans rushed the field in AA but Luke and Brady met and Brady gave Luke a bear hug. This will add to the rivalry. Even Woody and Bo met to shake hands.
Yes, but it is qualitatively different in Ann Arbor. The tunnel is directly behind your bench. It is easy-out after the game.
That said, I was distressed by this. I think the situtation was clearly odd enough, that Angelique Chengelis thought to ask Hoke about it right after the game. According to some Michigan fans, Hoke was getting yelled at pretty forcefully. I can't speak to that. Maybe some of the 11W readership can. I think that there will be a tremendous temptation to read much more into this than it is worth. I am very glad that Greg Mattison sought out Meyer; and it appeared that Meyer was doing his best to be nice to the ABC reporter (and he was), but that he was also looking to get cut it off, to look for for Hoke/Mattison. It may be that Mattison shook Urban's hand and said to him that Brady had to get out because it was too rowdy and Urban said no problem. Dunno. I see zero evidence of anything else at this time.
M man, it is soooo hard not to like you. Thank you for being gracious in defeat. I think this will be Urban's worse team in his tenure and if that's the case the B1G better watch out, but with that being said, I will NEVER love another team like I do this TEAM! This is the season I'll tell my kids about!
We often have posters on here who appear to be haters even though they are "buckeye fans", I believe M-Man is a Buckeye fan that just hasn't realized it yet!
maybe hoke got caught up cause he was still finishing his thanksgiving meal he had in his pockets. either way not to happy with him trying to be like woody with short sleeves in snow flurries as his boobs are wayyyyyyy bigger hope he chokes on future large meals!
ps - still mad i saw him in downtown cleveland and didnt tell him to stay the F out of OH!
Great finish to great season with a wonderful group of teammates. This group showed what passion they have being Buckeyes. Watch the group of recruits who were at the game and see who they choose in the near future. Buckeye Nation will rule with Urban at the helm.
I was getting pretty tired of reading the "Brady Hoke is 1-0 against Ohio (State) and Urban Meyer is 0-1 vs Michigan" arguments leading up to the game by Michigan fans. I couldn't think of a more ridiculous, contrived stat...
I spent a good hour looking for a rational comment from a scUM fan on mgo and the best one was on a thread about a scUM fan that was in Columbus for the game today, and he said after the game all of our fans instead of venom were pretty much pitying him.....all he could come up with as to why we were being nice and taking pity on him was because after winning 10 of the last 12 meetings that we've become accustom to beating scUM....
Is it me or did Braxton Miller seem hesitant the last two games when tucking the ball away and running with it? He didn't break to many long runs and it just seemed like he got caught by the other teams tackles more often than he did in previous games. Almost like maybe there was something wrong with his health or something.
The thing I noticed with Braxton is the last few games he hasn't been useing his speed to get to the edge and take off, instead he keeps stopping and cuts right into a defenders hands.
False. Nothing will shut up Michigan fans.
The Meyer owning them thing will hold up though.
Great day today! We looked awful at times as a team and good at times as a team. We did enough to win. I'm really happy for all those players, especially the seniors!
Like Wlw in Cincinnati. Bite on the big one.
Unfortunately, nothing will shut up UM fans. Tressel went 9-1 against them and they still ran their mouths.

This will be great for recruiting. Did Jalen Hurd attend the game.
Good question. He was supposed to be there. I hope he made it.
Nothing will ever shut them up. Even if they finish this season with five losses.
201 rushing yards against Scum. Woody is smiling from heaven.
Congratulations, Buckeyes, on a great, gritty, undefeated year. The best team in the Conference won today.
Perhaps we can fight about whose OC is worse.
Thanks M Man. You guys sure didn't make it easy on us. There will be a battle again next year I am sure.
~Because we couldn't go for three~
Thanks M Man. Definitely a tough win for sure!
No fight necessary... it's Borges! As a Buckeye fan even i was questioning his calls. He was more transparent than a window.

What kind of douche downvotes this comment? I love Tom Herman, but this ain't worth the downvote.
Is it actually true that Hoke left the field w/o shaking hands? I heard someone mention that Urban shook hands with Mattison, but not Hoke

This could be true. I saw Coach Coombs catch up to Brady and they hugged. It probably is nothing but it makes you wonder.

Come on M Man, come over to our side...just think you'll get to root for National Championship games instead of Gator bowls the next few years!
If M-Man converts, he loses all respect in my book!!! :) We'll lose a truly worthy adversary.
"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."
Very excited that Meyer said he is going to find a way to make sure this team (particularly this senior class) is never forgotten for what they did.

I noticed his breast were so big he had to support his back with one arm at all time.

Thank you M Man. Your views (as well as Hail's) bring a lot of class to 11W.
Agree with everyone, have to say if you have a minute go check out mgoblue...one word.....hilarious!
According to Mgoblue forum dept chart next year. Almost every offensive lineman recruit will red shirt.

Michigans forget Greg Matison was Flordia DVD when they lost.

O H I O is the Buckeye State
I dont think 10 straight Buckeye wins over TSUN will shut them up
O H I O is the Buckeye State
