Oh. My. God. Unreal. You must be in sales Kraken, got me convinced on this kid. Just wish there was more footage of him out there. That kick return a few weeks back is legendary. Hope he gets his offer.
theDuke
Kracken thank you for the updates. He sounds like the real deal. Would love for him to be in this class
I'll I can say is WOW!!
I hope OSU offers him.
Kid is going to be a great college player, just hope it's for the good guys! I love your disclaimer on the post too!
lol..... I had to look just because of the "(Please View only if you are interested)"
Nice stats tho and it looks like he can play some football
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Waycracken, I appreciate you turning my attention towards Timmons. I would have never become a fan if it wasn't for your posts. I hope it works out for him, and he wears scarlet and gray!
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
Those are some sick stats. This whole Timmons situation reminds me of this kid I played with Tyrell Sutton back in 05. He was a back to back Mr. Football in the State of Ohio and if you ever looked at his stats or watched him play he was a no brainer to take recruiting. My favorite moment was watching him rush for 515 yards and 8 touchdown against a very good youngstown ursuline team. OSU ended up taking an extremely overrated Maurice Wells instead and Tyrell ended up going to Northwestern and was Big 10 freshman of the year and had a pretty decent career there. Hopefully it works out for this kid you've definately sold me on him.
@Otrain you played at Hoban?
515 yds and 8 TDs is unreal. Must have been a good student to boot
oh man, i forgot about that one OTRAIN. You're right, that was a miss... ahh recruiting, sometimes it's just plain cruel. Currently, gulp, this makes me think of a little fella by the name Ryan Brewer and this one other guy named Ki Jana Carter...
theDuke
This kid will get an offer IF James Quick ends up somewhere else... Now that Quick called Petrino a "good guy" after Petrino cheated on his wife and lied to his boss... I might not be too sad about that. Sign Timmons up!
@WayCraKen Do you know if this kid is academically sound?
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Xtreme. Ive heard he has a 3.4 GPA. No idea about the ACT. He has a twin sister that I heard is a very good student as well. It would surprise me if he has a problem.
Ki Jana Carter didn't want to go to OSU, it's not that OSU didn't want him. Curtis Enis maybe is who you're thinking about?
Yeah I played at Hoban back in the day. The crazy thing was when I was there we also had Delone Carter (playing for the colts now) who was Tyrell's backup for 2 years before he transferred to Copley. It was pretty awesome watching those 2 compete against each other considering they both got to the NFL.
That looks even better WayCraKen
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Ryan is an excellent student. Is involved in church. Has a great home life. My fiance knows his mother
My fiancee also has told me that ryans' mother will be a big part of his college decision.
Waycraken, do you know how many drops he had? Since we are recruiting him at WR I'm curious as to how his hands are. Any info would be appreciated.
Ryan has great hands. Every game i went to, he has not fumbled, and catches everything
Good blocker too. Runs wildcat formation good, smooth handoffs. Plays defense when needed.
I would say the total on the year and I have seen every game is about 4 drops. Friday night he got drilled while making a move and dropped one that had TD written all over it but because he was making his move before the ball arrived I believe it took his focus away. I have seen him run perfect routes that left his man 10 yards away, and I have also seen him go high in the air with 3 defenders and pull the ball in.
It is hard to evaluate him solely as a WR because I am telling you, he draws more attention than any player I have ever seen in High School. Normally a man on him and what looks like a five man zone to cover wherever he may go. Because of this he is used as a decoy for a while and when they need him they come back to him. I saw the Buckeye Grove person who came to the game, and I saw him just literally shake his head at some of the moves Ryan put on.
Barker marched his team down the field for a score, and on the very first play Timmons breaks it for 50 + yards to tie it up. For those like Buckeyestu and a few others on here, it is entertaining but its almost like we come to expect this all the time, and he always delivers.
@TheDuke How did you guess, yes I am in sales. lol
Way is right, some of the things ryan does amazes me. One play last week he seemed engulfed by the entire connor team and no way imo does he come out of that quagmire, next thing i see is ryan in the endzone.
Aright, is WayCraKen & buckeyestu the same person? just kidding. thanks for all the info on this kid and I dont see how he doesn't get an OSU offer with all the info you 2 put together
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Way gets the credit for the stats and stuff, i just enjoy watching this talented kid play. He is also humble and coachable
I gotta be honest if it's either Quick or Timmons, I'm kind of hoping Quick wants to go to Louisville.
Per @jbook37:
WR Ryan Timmons tells Rivals if OSU offers it will be a 'Game Changer'. Talks to OSU once per week and will take an official in December.
Looks like he is willing to wait. And staff most-likley will have better idea by the time his official comes around.
Love to see him a Buckeye, for some reason I think he may wind up a hoosier. He and Wynn would be the Ducks of Big 10. I think IU has offerred ?
@KABONAY - How can he take an official without an offer?
Good player's make the play's they're suppose to, great player's make the play's they're NOT !!!
I believe the official is agreed upon by the staff no matter whether he has an offer or not... Could be wrong tho.
17.5 yards per rush and 33.4 yards per catch. Unreal. It will be interesting how things unfold between tOSU and Mr. Timmons.
It really makes you wonder what the staff sees. I mean, I trust Urban and his staff to bring in the players they need to support their scheme, but I just am not following why Timmons doesnt have an offer... those stats are pretty ridiculous!
ummm... wow.... Kid can ball.
Does anyone know why his best offer is Arkansas and he hasn't been offerred by in-state Louisville? Often the offer sheet is a very strong indicator of a player, and Timmons' sheet is very lacking for someone who puts up such gaudy numbers and highlights.
The Ohio State coaches had him at their camp, watched him win the smokehouse race, and then proceeded to offer Tavion Jacobs instead after watching them do 1 on 1s against DBs. I just wonder what our coaches and other teams' coaches know about Timmons that we don't. It doesn't look as simple as him being overlooked, at least in my eyes.
Shaun, I agree with you. We'll probably never know what the staff sees in each player. We can only speculate, and that usually leads to a lot of irrational thinking.
In the end, we just have to trust our staff. Coach Meyer certainly understands that this Offense (and Defense for that matter) needs more playmakers.
Shaun As far as the sites reporting offers I can only tell you they do not report who has offered 100%. West Virginia and Wisconsin are examples and there are others that you probably do not know about. Also just like OSU there are several more calling him. I do not think Jacobs went to FNL and was receiving his offer before the staff got to know Timmons.
Timmons is staying patient which I believe is a good indication of what kind of kid he is and the Buckeyes IMO would be just as lucky to have him as much as he would be wanting to play for Coach Meyer.
Did he do any of the camps other than FNL? I mean if he wasn't on a camp circuit that' explains a lot of why bigger programs haven't come calling. He plays for a team in the middle of no where in a state that isn't talent rich. Put him on the camp circuit or move him to Ohio or Florida and he's a hot commodity in the recruiting world.
I was convinced a while ago that Timmons to OSU would be the right move. After seeing these stats I might be with BTalbert in saying that between Quick & Timmons - I believe I'd take Timmons. These stats are chart topping, mind blowing, awe inspiring, etc etc etc. Come on staff - just make this kid a damn offer already!
The world is full of kings & queens who'll blind your eyes & steal your dreams - it's heaven & hell - Ronnie James Dio.
Looks like OSU is waiting for something, possibly another player before they offer Timmons.
"if irony were made of strawberries, we' d all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now."
Alex just updated the official list for The Game, and it includes Timmons.
No academic issues, and is a producer! Sign me up! Hopefully he dosent get tired of waiting and signs elsewhere, last year we waited on the Maryland kid and got snubbed.
Pay It Forward!
I haven't found DeAnthony Thomas's HS stats yet (if someone can find them) but his current touches per TD at Oregon is 5.7.
2.3 touches per TD is the stat that just jumps out at you. Just think, if he was at OSU with those numbers. He gets in for 10 plays, 5 in the first half 5 in the second, and gets 5 touches. That is 14 points! in 10 plays! for an offense that runs 65-75 offensive plays a game. I know it won't happen in college but Thomas is a pretty strong barameter of what he could end up like.
@Sidz
No offer is required for an official visit. However, most schools don't waste officials on kids they are not interested in. In this case, if the staff has told him to hold off until December for his official, they probably assume they will have a much better idea if he fits in the class by then.
Waycracken you have made a believer out of me!!!! Hope we take him.
shortbus20
Any chance Timmons is a "We are GOING to offer you but we don't want to scare away other WR recruits, therefore we will offer you and you can except after we land a few guys."
I'd say he needs an offer...but for some reason (Quick, North and others) are why he hasn't got one yet. I do believe he will bc those others besides possibly Quick are going elsewhere. I can see Gibson, Timmons and Quick as Wideouts that "may" commit to OSU. Would be a pretty good haul for WRs (Gibby, Timmons, Quick, Marshall, and Jacobs)...I'd like that...not sure if all will be in but that's a lot of speed if they all do.

@Steensn. I kind of think along the lines that you do. I do know he is confident with his own abilities and is not afraid of competing. I do know there is a few that leaves you with a different impression.
If the kid has a deal like that he is keeping it close to his vest. Like Buckeyestu stated earlier he is humble. Doesnt even want to Twitter. How refreshing is that?
Ok, I'm fine with you backing Timmons like you do, Waycraken, but please refrain from taking shots at other recruits. Since Foster is out of the picture, who are these "few" who give you the impression that they are afraid of competition?
Buck I 8. I dont think you should have thrown out a name. I was expressing an opinion based on things I have read. I am in no way going to call out a persons name.
i want timmons in scarlet and gray. cant wait to see him play friday night. last friday at the game, i was sitting next to a guy, a total stranger. sometime in the 3rd quarter, this guy is a bit frustrated with timmons not getting the ball more. he yells out "give timmons the ball, he will score." well next play timmons got the ball and he scored on a 35 or 40, maybe 50 yard run, guy elbowed me in the ribs gently, and said see that, i cracked up laughing. how far he went that time, waycracken would know. i just watch the game and dont track stats.
I'm definitely on the Timmons train. It's worth the scholarship if he can return kickoffs and punts. The kid is simply ELECTRIC with the ball in his hands. Besides Jalin I think Timmons would be tied with Zeke as the best incoming playmakers.
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
Buck I-8, I think Waycraken might mean moreso that there are some who want to go somewhere where they will get a better opportunity to start and be a star. Its not that they are actually afraid of competition, they just want to get on the field as soon as possible and on a team not at the level of OSU, like say Maryland, someone like Quick, Stevens or Foster would have a decent chance to be the instant star.
^^well said
What I want to know is who did he play (looks like the 7th week) >>
7 28 0 0 94 2 122
Those stats are his least impressive. What happeend? Stiffer compeetition? Injury?
My guess is he took a kickoff back early and from there they just devoted 3-4 kids to Timmons every play, allowing for his team to perform better. Total speculation, because the team they played was 1-5 at the time if Max Preps is correct
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
Did you take these stats from my player on NCAA 13 Heisman Challenge?
JT
Also, anyone have the return video that theduke reference in his post >> http://www.elevenwarriors.com/forum/football/2012/11/ryan-timmons-season-stats-please-view-only-if-you-are-interested#comment-288227
???
That week was a lightening delay for 1 1/2 hours with 4" of rain that night. Thankfully no one got injured. He got lots of attention probably because that was the first game of his they posted highlights at the end of 2011. Can be seen by searching Ryan Timmons Wildcat Recruit video below. Believe me without the downpour results woulda been similar.
I posted every game irregardless of circumstance. If I posted scores as well you could guess the games he played 2 qtrs.

@Waycraken well I think it's obvious that you swayed a lot of people onto the Timmons bandwagon, and you can include me on that list! The talent is undeniable, and I want this kid bad! Thanks for staying persistent, even after some ribbing from fellows fans on here, because he (and you!) opened a lot of eyes! I hadn't heard of Timmons before your posts started, but this kid would be dynamite in S&G!
Haha, those numbers are hilarious. 17 and a half yards per carry and 33 and a half yards per reception. In the words of Charles Barkley, "ridickohlus".
Way c.k. Kudos to you for championing local talent. Yes the video of him scoring the winning touchdown is awesome. And the stats.....ha.....awesome. So I ask you to be critical. Here in Ohio we have kids all the time with big numbers that get stuck going to Mac teams. And I've heard you debunk the competion and I think, size issue. Soooooo, Way c.k, why does Timmons not have offers from the big boys? SEC'ers, ND, blah blah. And why no offer from OSU even when Urb, has seen him in person?
"There is a force that makes us all brothers, no one goes his way alone, all that we send into the life of others comes back into our own." -WWH
He does have 5 SEC teams extrme interest. I think Coach Meyer does have interest JMO
no doubt Ohio State let a Ben Rothlesbetger go to Miami, a Ryan Brewer go to South Carolina and on and on and on.
System is not perfect and with or without Mr. Timmons Ohio State will be great. And I believe with or without Ohio State Mr Timmons will be great. I would just like to see this good kid who in my mind would represent Ohio State very well get his wish to play for OSU.
What player in Ohio are you tzlking about that has an 18 ypr avg and 34 ypc avg. i looked at stats for Oho and couldnt find anyone close to that. Are you talking about someone specific?
Well there are many reasons a team wont be interested in a top tear player. But I've watched you debunk all them with Timmons. So I can't really see any reason why he wouldn't have schollys piled up? I agree he looks like a 5 star type guy. Underrated. Teams will always have excuses not to take him. But if you look at OSU who has every need, he obviously is a plan B. (not a bad one) So I wonder what makes him such?
I think that we already have Zeke and Jalin coming in and Urbs is waiting to see what happens in other areas before he offers. Plus a reduced scholly sitch to boot.
Nobody this year in Ohio. But we sure haven't taken a Mr. OH Football in a while.

Waycraken, BuckeyeStu, message me your contact info. I've been to every Franklin County game this year. This game against Cooper is gonna be a tough one. It would be great to hang out at the game, get a beer after, or at least shake hands and say a collective prayer that Timmons becomes a Buckeye.
I think he's already got an offer, just kept under wraps between he and the staff in hopes they get Quick too. They don't want Timmons offer to scare Quick because he knows Timmons is better.
IMO
I promise you Quick does not think Timmons is better than him. He may think he's a great player but I'd bet my life savings he doesn't think Timmons is a better player than he is. No high profile recruit has confidence that low
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
@TRIV i agree but there has been a competition building. The high profile bigger Louisville and private school system has been promoting James Quick as Mr football since he was a Freshman. Quick apparently (according to listed rosters) was nearly the same size then as he is now except a few more pounds.
@DBEV. If you have gone to every game theres no doubt we have ran into each other. Dont sound like a bad idea. I was wearing Ohio State colors last week.
Last week I was standing next to a man from Rivals and he mentioned Timmons as possibly the best playmaker after seeing a few of his long runs and all I could tell him was Believe it or not this is average. He couldnt believe the opponent chose to onside kick the ball every time to avoid kicking off to Timmons.
Sold.
Help is on the way.
@Way
I'm not trying to say Quick is the better prospect. Both are tremendous talents, and I'd put them on an even level. All I was saying was there is no way a highly touted prospect like Quick has such low confidence in himself that he believes another player is a better prospect than him.
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
@Triv. I agree on the confidence factor. My thought is that, if they are on the same level (and it sounds like every coach in KY will tell you neither Quick or Timmons is better than the other), why not go for the kid that is diehard for your school? Personnaly that's they kind of "rep'ing" i love to hear about. i think there's a sentimental value to it as well, getting to see a talented, humble and hard working young man get to live out his dreams on the football field, in the classroom and in society. And that dream is to play for and represent The Ohio State University.
theDuke
Just heard from a reliable source that Urban Meyer will be at the Franklin County game tomorrow night!
I would have thought he would be on a plane to Wisconsin. I thought my travel schedule is tough. He will get to see Timmons against the second toughest defense in the state. Hopefully Timmons is healed up from last weeks game. He did his usual thing but got hit hard many times. He was a warrior though and kept coming back each and every time the team needed him.
I wonder if Coach Meyer has charter plane with the University or he flies Airlines? I. Would bet it is chartered and flies in directly to Frankfort. Could he just be visiting him at school do you think?
if i remember correctly, timmons wasnt injured, he just had cramping in his legs, so if he has dranked plenty of fluids this week, he should be fine. and urban coming to see the game? seriously? might have to cancel my vacation to cancun.
I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and drive my ass down there tomorrow. It'd be pretty cool to go to the game see this kid in action, and the crowd would have a real buzz if Urban was there. So if Urban really does go to visit and watch him play and Timmons visits for The Game, there has to be an offer coming right?
Here's what happened... Zach Smith went back to Urban and said "this kid is sick and if we offer him he's a Buckeye". So Urban is going down there to watch the game. Offer is pending.
@ buckeye_in_sec: seriously do you really think that is the case?
Here are his career Stats from a football forum in KY. says his freshman stats are not included in this
3 Year Totals
172 Carries 3146 Rushing Yards 51 TD
101 Receptions 2679 Yards 51 TD
3 KO Return TD
1 INT Return TD
277 Touches 6268 Yards and 106 TD 22.6 yards per touch
Career Points Scored- 618 (missing Freshman Year Statistics)
I have confirmation. Urban confirmed the visit to Franklin County coaches.
Outstanding DBEV. Great work!!!
That's a big deal. Waycraken, I'm thinking your boy just may get an offer. Urban ain't going to watch someone he doesn't sincerely have an interest in.
what kind of team is franklin co playing friday? will they be an upgrade in the competition?
And no the backing out on Larue makes so much more sense. Reel him in Urbz, kid wants to be a buckeye
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
Tough #2 defense in the state. Been reading some posts and Cooper will be wanting to keep a running clock and keep the offense off the field. Read that they have been successful at doing this all year with the exception when they played Conner. Barker was very good that evening I hear as was Fogel kid
Cooper is a good team. Conner was good, but they have lost games where Barker put up some great numbers and the offense scored some points. Should be interesting to see how much he can do on Cooper. I'd venture to say he'll have pretty good success with Cooper tonight. I know they have been a better unit than Conner, but the really draw from the same pool of kids as Conner, Ryle and Boone.
@Stu... Yes, that is exactly how I believe it happened!
Waycraken u gonna post a new thread for us like last week I'm anxious to c how he plays. I hope he gets his offer
Looking forward to the grey box on Saturday! :)
Those are some crazy numbers. Hopefully he gets an offer
"Do not pray for an easy life. Rather, pray for the the strength to endure a difficult one" - Bruce Lee
hate to harp on the competition thing, thats been done enough here, but, it will be interesting to see how the timmonsdator does against a good defense. number 2 in the state huh waycracken? if they double and triple team him, they will leave others open, and timmons may not get the ball much. urban is coming to town, wow. seriously?
I really don't think Cooper's D is that great. Granted the most points they gave up all year were to Conner and South Oldham, but if you look at the list of other teams they've played. Scott is terrible, Dixie isn't that great, Boone County isn't very good, Holy Cross got beat down by a lot of good teams this year. So, yeah they haven't allowed many points in general this year, but the 2 best teams they played were able to score some points on them. Franklin County will be the best offense they've seen.
@TDIZZLE. I will report tomorrow but since it is just Timmons this time I will probably consolidate some. My posts has aggrevated some in the past. Ill report if I see coach Meyer as well. Have no idea how to post a pic if I was able to get one.
@BT and Buckeyestu. I would guess the Coaches for FC will stick with what has worked. If Cooper puts 2-3 guys plus a zone toward Timmons side they will use their other skilled players to expose that.
What scares me the most in this game is Coopers ability to drain the clock on offense. This will limit Timmons more than their defense. Post by DBEV earlier tells it all. 102 Tds in 2+ seasons. 22 + ypc for his career. That My friend is consistancy. Those stats are especially pheonominal considering the fact that most likely 1 seasons worth of games he probably didnt play after halftime.
@waycraken-- do what you can tonight. I'll take it all if you can update fast enough. Somehow, rooting for Timmons has got me rooting for Franklin too. Appreciate the work!
theDuke
be great to see franklin county win for sure, there is another school here in frankfort, frankfort high, that is still in the playoffs, the only game they lost all year was to franklin county.
This would be fucking epic!!!!!!!
The kid looks to me like a stud, and I would be real happy to see him playing as a Buckeye.
Heading to the game in 15!
14-8 FC Timmons 35yd TD catch in triple coverage
1st score was 3yd TD run by Woodside
Cooper TD w/2pt conversion, 16-14 Cooper
57 yd TD run TIMMONS! Failed 2pt conversion
Cooper TD + 2, 24-22 Cooper
Urbz is not in Kentucky. FWIW, Waycraken has changed my mind. I hope Timmons gets his offer.
24-20 Cooper at half
32-20 Cooper
Predictions DBEV? By the flow of the game, does Cooper seem to be controlling it, or is it neck and neck?
26-32 Junior Chris Roberts having a big game for FC
Cooper RB and QB are hard to tackle. Triple teaming Timmons, and playing good pass Defense. Cooper with a 45yd run. Ball on FC 35 with 10:14 in 4th.
#7 for Cooper is a great running QB
8:00 left 3rd down on FC 25
Sack, loss of 3-4, face mask 5yd penalty. Hold on 3rd down, 8 to go
3rd and 13
Cooper 2nd and 8 on 20
TD Cooper
ball game
I hope he did enough to get his offer..
DBEV, do you have a final stat line for Timmons?
A reliable and informed source told someone thursday urban was comiing to frankfort? Wat happened
