Does anyone have any news about today's jerseys going on sale? I've been combing the net looking, but haven't seen anything yet.

Was not a fan of the gray numbers.... Sat in C deck and had a hard time figuring out who was in on a play. With the white numbers, I can make it out.

On TV, they were pretty easy to see, but hard to see names. I think they would have looked much better under the lights.

Glasses. I sat in the SS and had no problem making out the numbers when they were at the opposite end. The names, however, I couldn't make out when I was standing 3 feet away from the players on the damn field. I thought the numbers and unis in general were pretty slick. Agreed that these unis would've been best suited under the lights.

I wasnt a fan of these jerseys from the looks of the pictures but I thought these were sick when i saw them on TV and I cant wait to buy one!

Bad news...No plans to sell them. I still wonder if these may end up as the full time uniform starting next year.

Have a source on that? Not that I don't trust you, but that seems silly on Nike's part since they can make money off of it.

The Manager of the Official Team Shop at the Schott. Trust me, I was pretty surprised as people would be pretty eager to drop $70 a piece on them.

I cannot believe how bad those uniforms were. How did they make it out of the Nike design studio? I have been a fan of all the previous combat uniforms but these were awful. Did they hold a design contest with 3rd graders?

To each his own I suppose - because if third graders did that, they did an awesome job! I actually really like the unis this year...different, but stayed on point with the basics of the traditional Buckeye uniform. Even got some gray/silver back on the jersey. And those flat chrome helmets with the green buckeye leaves...sick IMO.

Loved the Helmet and Gloves. The Shoulder stripes looked cool too but not the grey numbers and black nameplate.

i liked the unis but i thought the helmets were awesome and i loved the buckeye stickers they used

A few thoughts on the uniforms:

1) I was so happy when I saw that the players got to wear helmet stickers. Best non-game part of The Game is seeing those helmet stickers; they are true reflections of the accomplishments of the past season.

2) If the helmet stripe is just a little bit thinner, and the Buckeye leafs just a little bit bigger, those are the best OSU helmets EVER. The chrome looked great during an overcast daygame- imagine under the lights as a poster above me noted.

3) Gray or white names oppossed to the black ones they used would be easier to read and the contrast would be cool.

4) Even if those are not our permanents at some point soon, which I would be very content if they did become our regulars, we could still use them like the ND Greens, just more often and not lose in them every time like the choke artist Irish do. 10 to 1 they bring them out for the National Championship, and guess what, they lose! They can't win in those damn things.

5) The team was amazing today, what a year.

I would say that regardless of the changes to the helmet you suggested, I think they're still the best OSU helmets. I couldn't stop telling my friends in the stands how awesome they were. I was surprised (yet ecstatic) they wore the stickers because I thought someone said they weren't going to.

They were not hideous unlike recent trends. I don't like them, leave them as they are, but at least they weren't gaudy this time.

I scrolled through and didn't see this yet, but I asked Buckeye Corner and another memeber asked Conrad's and they confirmed Nike is behind due to the NFL jerseys so no rivalry jerseys.

Also, we are undefeated vs. Michigan in the Pro Combats... Last year we used them in a great win at home against Wisconsin but then lost up in Ann Arbor... Don't mess with the mojo!

Older guy here... I hated the uni's. Thought they looked like some cheap knock off that a high school team somewhere in Ohio might wear. The pants were horrible, and the jersey's like something out of a JC Penny catalog. The helmets, while being decent, are nowhere near as sharp as the regular helmets. I know I'm in the minority by a wide margin here, but I haven't really cared for any of the nike alternate uni's. The best of the lot, IMO, was the very first in 2009 I believe??? Anyway, before I get hammered for this post please know that I'm well aware that younger people like this multiple uniform thing, and I realize that the majority rules... but I just wish nike would leave a classic and very sharp uniform alone. Just one man's opinion.

+1 from another older guy. The unis looked cheap. Just like the Maryland outfits we've all been making fun of lately. And does anyone know why the players were wearing VT Hokies "underarmour" shirts. Cranberry? Whatthehell?

The only cool thing about them were the "electric" green Buckeye stickers.

Ohio State's uniforms are due for a dramatic upgrade. It's been, what, over 40 years since a major change in helmet design? The jerseys have changed subtly every 5-10 years or so for as long as I can remember.

I LOVED these uniforms. The chrome, the sleeves, the bitchin' buckeye leaves. I hope, with a tweak or two (colors of the lettering like may others have pointed out) that they become our permanent uniforms. I'll sign whatever petition is out there.

I thought they looked sharp as well. If I could change anything, I'd have some more grey on the shoulders, changed the numbers to white, edged in grey, and have the names on the back of the jersey be white so you can actually see them.

I was so happy to see that they had buckeye leaves on the helmets, though. I would have been sad to not see those helmets full for The Game!

Changing the Ohio State football uniform would be be akin to removing the pinstripes from the NY Yankees uni. How 'bout Alabama, Oklahoma, USC, UCLA, PSU, michigan (not capitalized on purpose!), Texas, or ND? None of these uniforms have been "dramatically" upgraded. Small changes here and there, a la ND changing the gold paint on their helmets last year, are the only "upgrades" necessary on the CLASSIC uniforms of college football... of which Ohio State has one of the most classic and classiest. Leave it alone. One mans VERY HUMBLE opinion...

Rewatching this game on tv and these uniforms are absolutely awesome. I would be totally cool with those being our permanent uniforms. I thought they were cool from a distance at the stadium, but I'm loving them up close!

I'm a uniform traditionalist in every way, but I thought yesterday's uni was totally off the hook. The wide stripe, the green Buckeye leaves, the silver/gray jersey numbers - even the black facemask, which I'm not typically a fan of (still like the old-school gray).

Please keep these full-time, or at least break them out once in a while ala ND's green jerseys. It's too great of a look to be a one-off.

The unis need white numbers/names with grey "etched" style buckeye leaves for accent in the white. Everythin else was a home run to me. Hire me now, Nike.

It would make sense. Not only are we "due" for a uniform change (being that we tweak the design every six-ten years), it would be a great symbolic way to continue the transition to the Meyer Era.

My Nike contact still maintains they will be made, but isn't saying when. At this point, my gut is starting to agree with those who say we may see a uniform change this fall.
