In the pregame warm-ups I would like to see them bust out the circle drill like they did for the spring game to get the fans jacked up to start the game. I think that would help to get the crowd going early right off jump street what you guys think.

I'm not sure you want people hitting each other like that before the game. There will be enough of that as it is.
It would get everyone fired up, sure, but I'm not sure you wanna risk injury right before their biggest game of the year.
Some players need a wake-up call to let them know that it is game time, and yes i know it is The Game but there are still some that do not get it going till they get hit. One would be the o-line, it takes them a minute to get going but if you get the circle drill going and the stadium is going nuts and the reciuts are there for pregame then you have set the tempo high already. TSUN will have a hard time getting that cranked up then. The way Urbs run the circle drill is pretty safe anyways he even said with certain players you have a quick whistle.
I thought he meant circling around denard and DG, then hitting them...
I agree DAWG,
You could make it relatively safe, and the motivation it would provide for the team and fans would be awesome. I know I was really pumped at the Spring Game when he did it. Ohhh, the signal it would send.
Maybe I'm just wrong here, but I think the whole motivation/pumped-up thing is really overrated. It may be an advantage right out of the gate, but the reality is that both teams are going to be extremely motivated and will probably settle down fairly quickly into the game. The team that has the better football players will win, not the team that screams and yells a lot.
By having the Fans amped up right out of the gate you make it hard for the other team to get the sap count right signals called and it makes the game that more difficult for the away team. The louder the fans the harder to think about what is going on especially when the other team is already jumpy.
I agree about crowd noise. I was talking more about the players. Besides, neither team should need any extra motivation for this game.
Not that the atmosphere wont already be electric, but I see doing the circle drill as a great way to send the crowd over the top. This is our bowl game so less need to worry about injuries. Just keep the most important players out of it.
Our honor defend we will fight to the end for Ohio..
We should not have to do the circle drill to get us up for the SCUM game.
Remington your right we should not but it would send a message really fast though.
One more thing is that Urbs has always sent a message in his rivaler games when he was at UF and i loved to get after the dawg fans when it was over.
What message would it send?
I wouldn't mind a 15 yard penalty for the whole team celebrating in the endzone together after the 1st TD like Georgia did awhile back.

Don't give up... Don't ever give up.
How about the team just comes out and gets an early lead. That will fire crowd up more than anything else.
^ I would. In fact, I really would, considering it will most likely be a tight game.
Look if i have to tell you what that brings to the table then you only see it as a drill. Others see it to motivat and get the guys ready to go. Just becouse it is The Game Urbs will want the team to be extra amped up. He will want the stadium to be as load as possable and this would do that really quickley.
There will be no need. These seniors want to go out on the highest note possible. They have been through a shit storm and I the crowd will be amped.. The recruits will see the best game they have seen all year. I know I am a homer, but I see this game being over early with some heavy doses of El Guapo and of, course XBrax doing his thing. I think they learned a lot from the wisky game...
Agree DAWG,
...AND, what will tsun think when they start hitting each other? You know they would be watching that instead of focusing on their tasks. What is being overlooked is that it would also calm some pre game nerves by letting off some steam. I believe somebody alluded to that already, just wanted to mention it again.
Ok, but I still don't understand what message it would send. Both teams are going to be as hyped as possible either way.
Have you ever played competitive team sports at the high school or higher level? The message is to get in their heads before the game starts.
I don't think OSU doing the circle drill is going to get into theirs heads. Most people have seen that drill before. But please, let's have another sports cliche.
Thank you Oyster I thought i was crazy.
The fans should have a circle drill.. Pair up the drunkest and watch them fall down before running into each other.
^ Now THAT's a good idea.
No that happens after the game most of the time anyhow but they get arrested for it.
How many times do you see them doing a circle drill before a game? I have seen it once, and that was this spring.
Great idea. Get the team knowing that the Game is about to start. Most warmup drills are not run very hard and players just pass by them not doing much. This will be a great way to get them ready mentaly, physically, and to pump everyone up.
F--- Michigan!
Hell yah, let tsun know they're at the Shoe and dont think about getting comfortable.
O H I O is the Buckeye State
I hope that Urbs pulls something like this out.
I can see both sides. The mere sight of those winged helmets should be enough to get any buckeye jacked up. But it would damn sure set the building on fire and set the tone that our boys are bringing the wood from the jump. Not sure you'd see simon in there though...he might kill someone.
