Just wanted to see how you guys see us finishing off. I think:
18 - David Dawson
I think Dawson will be pumped to be a Buckeye after watching us two straight weeks (Commits : After THE GAME)
19 - Christopher Worley
Glenville product becomes Buckeye talent as the pipeline continues. (Commits : After THE GAME)
20 - Dorian Johnson
I see Dorian commiting to us after he visits us for his last two visits. (Commits : December 8th)
21 - Mike Mitchell
Mike will finally get a visit up here and will realize that this is the place for him. (Commits : Mid December)
22 - Corn Elder
Corn makes the pledge to the Bucks after waiting a bit longer than I actually expect as he sees the class filling up. (Commits : Mid-Late December)
23 - Shelton Gibson
The staff finally allows Shelton to commit because he gets whatever has been holding him back under control. (Commits : Early January)
24 - James Quick
Charlie Strong leaves Louisville. (Commits : Early January)
25 - Vonn Bell
Dooley gets fired at Tennessee. (Commits : NSD)

I like it minus Elder. Don't see him ending up in this class. Could be any of Conley, North, Stevens, even Timmons, or could not get filled at all and we stop at 24.
Also, James Quick is announcing January 5th at the All American Game

Think Conley is Oregon bound and I heard that Elder was "Wowed by Ohio State visit" so what do you think the hold up is? Ohio State not accepting his commitment? Thanks for the heads up on Quick.
Elder loved OSU, but I believe has always had basketball as a first love and wants to pursue that in college. Ultimately I don't see that happening at OSU and I think he will realize it and head elsewhere where he can play both.

Who else really wants Worley? I love anyone from Glenville because those guys make up a lot of this team and I would love to have it like 06 where we have 4-5 guys from one city starting on offense or defense. Also it will help with some beast next season in Glenville.
F--- Michigan!
This is an extremely optimistic prediction, but who knows.
Fortuneately, "extremely optimistic" and "pretty realistic" actually go hand in hand in this case. OSU is number 1, number 2, or tied at the top of every recruit on this list. AND pretty much all of them will be at The Game

^ True, but a solid #2 in a few cases. I do not see Bell or Quick in this class.
Quick is the only one I'd say we are a solid number two, but that will flip to a solid number one if Strong leaves (very possible). There's about a 10% chance Dooley stays, and if he is out you'd have to imagine Bell moves us from tied at the top all the way to the top (getting him to The Game would go a long way)

I think Arkansas will dish out the big $ to get Strong. Then Quick moves us to number 1.
I honestly think Chris Worley is a very underrated prospect or shall I say, "not being given enough credit". People see that he is a 3star across the board on most sites & think he aint worth taking a spot in this class towards the end of the class when we can take other top prospects.
people dont realize that Worley is very ahtletic. The kid is from an obvious pipeline, but that shouldnt mean he's a lock to OSU. Most likely he ends up in this class as I and many others see it. The kid can really hit on his previous film released of his senior year. He can also play safety in case we wouldnt land Bell or Conley or another DB.
This Worley kid looks like a beast on his ESPN profile btw. Once this kid tacks on some weight & is in the OSU s&c program, this kid could be the next Ryan Shazier. IMO
#Buckeyes
Timmons Now.

Why do Quick or Bell automatically move us to #1 just because the coach leaves? That doesn't make much sense to me. You're talking about two schools who have the capability to hire some pretty good coaches, and both guys seem to have strong emotional attachments to those teams.
@Bucknut
Mike Mitchell reminds me more of Shazier than anyone else. Just the speed he plays with and how he just abuses everyone in his way.
Also agree on Worley, definitely see him in this class and having an impact here.

@Buckeyeinannarbor
Quick and Bell have both talked about how important their relationship with the coaching staffs are in their recruitment. If a new coach comes in, it's likely he brings in a lot of his own guys and therefore they'd need to start from scratch building a relationship when Urban has been building relationships with these guys for a year or more

They have a relationship with those coaches and most likely wont have time and want to create a new relationship with a new coach they would rather go to the next program on there list who still has the coach they gained a great relationship with in these cases Ohio State.
Lol Triv I type my explanation post it and see you posted the same thing can you say think alike.
I guess since I'm commenting so much on this thread I should post my predictions for the rest of the class. Assuming we hit the predicted 25 I see it shaping out like this:
David Dawson
Dorian Johnson
Shelton Gibson
Chris Worley
Mike Mitchell
Vonn Bell
Ryan Timmons (Quick goes to Louisville, North stays South, Stevens stays with FSU, Timmons finally gets a much deserved and long overdue offer)
Skai Moore

Thanks Triv. We'll see how it plays out. I do think it is very clear that nobody is going to compete with Michigan or OSU in the Big Ten for several years to come.
MSU is establishing a pretty good hold at Cass Tech especially if hey can grab Dawson. Add some of the leftover Ohio recruits they get from Urbans more National approach and MSU could contend on occasion. But yes prepare for more Big 2 Little 10

It really is so hard to predict right now with the fluidity of recruiting and the barrage of updates and new names popping up every month. But I did hear that things are def trending our way with Trey Johnson. Both Urban and Fickell were at his school today and with Auburn insiders saying Chizik is gone I wouldnt sleep on this one. Also the coaching carousel season hasnt taken place yet and new names will pop up then too and fwiw heard Withers went to Cali to talk to Max Redfield USC safety decommit.
@Spooner If Chizik goes I will be more confident in Johnson, but even then I've heard rumors USC would be his favorite should he decommit from Auburn. I do agree things are trending our way, and Urban has a chance to make big strides on him with a solid performance at The Game. If Chizik stays i think he'll stay with Auburn, if not it's gonna be a USC OSU battle IMO

Lane Change is not safe in SoCal at all grumbling is starting to get louder new AD didnt hire him and is tired of his act dont be surprised if hes gone too.
I also saw a tweet about Withers heading to visit Max. I'd say odds are slim to none unless we get him to visit. No worries about him coming East as he already named Notre Dame his leader. We just got a lot of ground to make up

MSU will contend on occasion, as will Nebraska and Wisconsin, but let's get real. Nobody is going to regularly compete with a Greg Mattison defense or an Urban Meyer offense. Let the ten year war begin (though it might not start until 2014).
By 2015 or 16 you could see Michigan moved to the middle of the season to prevent a 3rd or fourth straight OSU-Michigan back to back games in the final regular season game followed by the B1G Championship

Yeah it's going to be really weird seeing UM and OSU play each other twice in a row.
I see...
Dawson
Gibson
Mitchell
Worley
Johnson
Timmons
Conley
IF'S:
Bell (if Dooley is fired)
LaRue (if Kiffin is fired)
Quick (if Strong leaves)
@SEC
Trey or Dorian?
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
Dorian... 2 visits within a month. Gotta think he's a Buckeye.
Id agree about Dorian couldnt have broke better for the staff since he said hes deciding a week after his tOSU offical
How many others out there want Timmons over Elder in this class? Count me as one on the Timmons train. I really hope he gets offered.
Hoping for timmons, quick or gibson, mitchell, bell, trey johnson, dawson or dorian
Vonn Bell
Dorian Johnson
Ryan Timmons
Shelton Gibson
Chris Worley
Mike Mitchell
David Dawson
Donovan Munger
my prediction is - Gibson, Quick, D. Johnson, Mitchell, Moore, Worley, Conley, Vonn Bell.
#Buckeyes
If Charlie Strong ends up at Tennesee do you think that convinces Bell to go with UT? I live in AR and the word on the street is that Gary Patterson from TCU is the front runner for Arkansas.
Mitchell, Worley,Quick, Elder, Munger, Gibson IMO are locks. Bell and Conely= 50/50 while Dawson and Johnson are longshots IMO
Quick is further from a lock than either Johnson or Dawson
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
I think we will end up with Dorian Johnson, Conley, Gibson, Timmons, Bell, Mitchell, Elder, Worley. I have not looked into worley and elder much what position would they play if they came to OSU they are an ATH. Just hearing those two guys are all buckeye. I don't think we get dawson and Johnson probably just johnson. I would be fine with getting Gibson and Timmons as the finally WR, we NEED Mitchell and possible another LB in this class.
