so he's now focusing his SECism towards saying John Manziel is his #1 Heisman candidate. Heard him on the radio this morning talking about how Manziel's game against Alabama cleared things up for him. Also, Forde claims that Manziel is more important to his team than any other player, saying the ball is always in his hands, running and passing, and he does his craft better than anyone he has seen this year. To this point, The radio show's co-host (someone from OrangeBloods.com) pointed out that LSU's QB had season's best performance against 'Bama's defense the previous week, and if you look at a 3 game window of Manziel's season, you get this:
passing 69/112 for 640 yards, 1 td 5 ints
rushing 54 carries 216 yards 4 yards/carry 3 tds
Texas AtM went 1-2 in those games...... Florida, @ Ole Miss, LSU
not necessarily Heisman front runner numbers, but Forde, not deterred, said Manziel's (Texas Atm's) final two games would be proof of his Heisman worthiness......... sure Pat, Sam Houston State and Missouri are excellent competition to judge against.
I followed Forde on twitter for three days. I couldn't stand his pretentious and self-righteous opinions on EVERYTHING! Some reporters just seem to come across as a douche bag no matter what they write about. Pat falls in that category.
