If Notre Dame loses next week and since Alabama and Georgia will play each other that would mean if Gene Smith would've skipped the Frog Balls.com Bowl last year we would be number 2 and have a shot to play for the National Championship. If Notre Dame loses I may have to drive to Columbus and kick Gene Smith in his balls
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
No way that we get there, pal. The talking heads will put Bama, UGA, or Florida over us all day long. Sucks, but it's the sick way of college football nowadays. IF Notre Dame loses to USC and we beat Michigan all that we will be able to say is, "What if?" We might get a couple votes, but it just isn't going to happen. Winner of the BCS championship will be your AP champion. All that OSU can do is take care of their own business.
Yep, they'll be 4 for sure. I think Notre Dame loses next week though and we'll get the Buckeyes in the top 3 of the final AP poll. I don't care much about that though. The polls are going to be an absolute mess next week when we have about 6 one loss teams all screaming that they deserve to be in the title game.
How dominant did UGA look in their 35-7 loss to USCe? More or less dominant than the Bama team that got carved up at home by a freshman QB? Getting to 11-0 is damn hard, and the Buckeyes have done it. Polls ought to reflect it.
Ahh: I agree about Georgia, but nobody here is making the case for them to be #1. I love our team and they play with heart, but they haven't played like a #1 team IMO and Alabama has in every game except their loss.
Yes there are two Buckeyes in Ann arbor on this site!
If we beat Michigan and Notre Dame loses plus Alabama and Georgia play each other so that guarantees that one of them loose. We would move up to #2 and probably end the season there behind the bcs winner.
#1 Notre Dame
#2 Alabama
#3 Georgia
#4 Ohio State
#5 Florida
Like it or not, that's how it's going to turn out unfortunately.
We just went from theoretically no SEC teams in the National Championship to 2 SEC teams in the National Championship in one day.
We win by fifty next week and it still won't matter the SEC media suckfest will continue. I can't even take it anymore.
Midwest voters need to step up and start voting OSU #1 these overrated SEC teams are overrated 6 in the top 10? Please..

You guys really think Alabama and Georgia are overrated? I don't. I also think ND will beat USC next week, so maybe only one SEC team in the NC.

I agree, we'll be #4
If OSU had looked dominant in all of it's wins I think it would have been possible for us to be #1 AP.

A top five team does not lose by 28 during the season. Yes they are overrated.
I just want to be the lone unbeaten team in country.
@Ann Arbor Buckeye,

Hard to get past that last part, isn't it?
