VERY LIMITED PLAY CALLING TODAY, NOT AGGRESSIVE AT ALL. PREDICTABLE AND DISAPPOINTING. PLAYING NOT TO LOSE INSTEAD OF PLAYING TO WIN LIKE WE HAVE ALL SEASON.

im glad we have the lead... it seems like urban and co respect the wisconsin d.
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
Wisky d is making us look foolish. Linebackers are shadowing Braxton, he's gonna have to do more damage with his arm in the 2nd half.
At half time and I have to say that is some of the worst/most convservative play calling I've seen all year. Why are we running Braxton almost exclusively? The staff knows more than I but it's obvious that Wisky is ready and prepared for that and we haven't adjusted. Maybe it's all a set up for the second half??? We are about to see I guess.
I don't think it's the play-calling... this is on Braxton right now. HE is making these reads to keep the ball. HE is refusing to throw the football away and taking BAD sacks. I don't know what is up with him but he is tenative and making really poor decisions.
Cause I couldn't go for three
Receivers don't seem to be helping him down the field very much
two weeks of prep for this. awful.
^^^ they're not doing anything to get open. After they run the designed route, they just stop running and stand there. This is frustrating. Nice 29 yard punt Ben...
Well the second half was just as bad. Someone better step up in OT or it is what it is. I am surprised by the lack of offensive production today. This makes me a lot more nervous for the Mich game then I was - not to mention my state of mind right now!!!
Tom Bollman. Safeties playin up. Not so sure Zach Smith is a good wideout coach, but Braxtons decision making has been horrible. Read option isnt there
Finally - stepped up and closed it out in OT. Where was that aggressive power play today? At least it arrived.
i know this is ridiculous..but..did we save our playbook for next week?

Always somthing to complain about. The offense wasnt great. Oh well. We won.
There's a difference between saving your playbook and calling a bad game. Not the finest night from our OC. But a win is a win.
I am the first to defend our coaches, team, and the kids, but you cannot ignore the fact that the offense, for whatever reason, was horrible. Hey I'm glad we won and happy for the kids on that team, but they know it was rough. It is what it is and it's in the past. 11-0 and heading into Mich week. What's not to like?
Fortunate to get the win. It was just weird seeing our offense suck as bad as they did today. Nice to see the defense pick it up, though. Good times find a way.
But can anyone give some insight why the offense couldn't sustain much of anything? Lack of adjustments? Braxton wasn't making reads? I thought we'd hit something over the middle at some point in the game, but it was consistently Braxton keeping the ball and their safeties or LBs coming up and smacking the hell out of him. Hope we have a better gameplan for next week. Pretty sure we will. BEAT MICHIGAN.
It looks to me like they spent the off week preparing for Michigan and not Wisky. I know Urban and players never look ahead, but I'm grasping at straws trying to reason exactly what happened today. Very thankful they won, and when they needed it they most, they came through as they have all season. I love their heart and we can't ask much more than that. 11-0!
I'm glad the Buckeyes didn't score 40 points in a loss. I would have been happy with a 7-3 win.
A blowout would have been nice but its cool to see them play as a team and win
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Like RX Script said, the receivers couldn't get open down field all day. Once Urban brings the speed players in on offense, I expect the offensive scheme will click more.
Why did we go away from having Hyde and Smith both lead block as Braxton followed them around the end? I know the safeties started cheating up but this play was working. Braxton has not progresses much in the throwing game and the 2 weeks didn't help. Takes too long to go thru progressions and has a hard time pulling the trigger.

WHY ARE YOU YELLING???
Hard to really evaluate Braxton's passing when the playcalling was so questionable. Would love for us to go back to the game plan we used against Nebraska. Seems like the first drive was going that way, but 3rd down calls were consistently atrocious. Nothing that can't be addressed this week, though.
georgiabuckeye2114 its pretty easy, it's either all caps or all lowercase, especially when using my phone. much faster and easier. if you don't like it, THEN DON"T READ IT.
I'll take a W any way we can get it.. It may not have been pretty, but it was a win..
The offensive play calling today was atrocious. We needed to give Hyde the ball a lot more because he was running like a champ. Giving Rod Smith some touches couldn't have hurt either. The 3rd down Braxton draw plays when you could see they were about to bring the house and you had single coverage on the outside with a 10+ yard cushion was a joke. Stoney with his stone hands today didn't help the cause either
Edit: could have been saving a lot of plays for THE GAME who knows
Brax didn't seem like held after the heet to heet hit.
Did anyone else notice Fragel absolutely destroy his assignment on Hyde's first Td? Watch the replay, Hall made a decent block but Fragel pancaked his dude and made a runway for Carlos to walk in for the TD.
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
It looked to me like his footing was not very solid. Don't know if it was just his cleats, the field, or what but wow just glad our d stepped up big time after the half.

1 regulation TD and 1 in OT (which was actually a good drive, imagine that). Pathetic.
