Night Games

I read some where that Urban had spoken to Gene Smith about more night games. I for one hope that comes to be, because our bigger games should definitely be played at night. I still think the atmosphere for the Nebraska game was more electric even though this was a better game.

I think the Michigan game should stay at 12. The last time we deviated from that tradition we were punished with a 41-14 loss the next game...

.The big ten won't alow night games in November. OSU doesn't have night lights for the staduim.

@Golden Buckeye ... I seriously doubt moving the '06 game had very little to with the way we played a month later against Florida.

@Osuforlife ... Interesting I didn't know the Big 10 wouldn't allow night games in November, thats crazy if you ask me though, I'm sure they could install lights w/no problem. I'm certain money isn't the issue. I hope Urban gets that changed.

Haha I was kidding, it would be very cool to see an OSU-Michigan game under the lights. However, it would give many fans for both teams to have a little much to drink. Imagine a big win for either team and drunk fans hackling opposing fans. It could be a safety issue.

@OSUFORLIFE: Though that's true, Jim Delany said in an interview recently that they're not forbidden necessarily, and that he's open to discussion on it. I'd like to see that game at 3:30 at least, 12 is a bit too early for my taste.

Agreed. Why the Hell not? College football does night games better than any sport, why not showcase the Greatest Rivalry in All of Sports under the lights?

I'm all for tradition, but noon games are becoming more and more a vestige of a bygone era.

Ohio State can bring lights in. Not having lights isn't what is stopping us, we've had night games in the shoe before.

I like to have Wisky as night game next year. Wisky is the first big ten game for us next year.

Why do we only have one night game a season? Seems really low in my opinion.

I always thought that the B1G didnt allow Nov night games because of how cold it MIGHT get at night, not the lights.....In Nov, you still need lights for the 330 games anyway.......With ABC/ESPNs, and BTN, no reason we cant get more night games being the marquee team in the conference......Just ask the other coaches.......

The night game for THE GAME would be a welcome addition. Let America see the hitting that takes place in that game... It's hard to believe how depressing it was to be a fan a little over a year ago.

I head so many people don't want that to be a night game. They claim its to cold for them that they why you drink Crown Royal it get warm.

Wisky and Penn State need to be night games next year. Make the Iowa game a 330 start. Keep the Mich game at noon. I really don't care what they do with San diego ST, Buffalo, Florida A &M, or Indiana maybe make one of those four a 330 start. We definitely need more later games. Our stadium just isn't the same at noon (except for The Game)

I do hate noon games. More night games or at least more 3:30 games, please.

The Game can be at noon since that's tradition and I'd hate having to wait all day for it to finally happen. That day is a holiday and I enjoy being happy the rest of that day after a win. If it were a night game, I probably wouldn't be able to sleep that night from the excitement. It takes time to wind down.

I'm for more night games but I say leave The Game at noon. Starting next year, OSU will be in the BTCG and that should definitely be a night game. Strong chance it would be against UM as well.

get ready next year! Back to backs against our hated rivals and 2nd year in an Urban Meyer program! So many great things can happen next year!

i like 3:30, at least for the michigan game. you start in the sunlight, and as the game goes on, it finishes under the lights. gives everyone a little time to get their drink on, but not time enough to be completely stupid. also, it segues nicely into the night, so everyone can have some raucous celebrations immediately after the game.
