I just read a tweet from Mid West Recruiting stating that Snodgrass wanted to commit to ND, but he doesn't have a committable offer. I know there is a lot of talent at WR in this class, but the OSU staff can't let Kelly and Joke come into Ohio and steal elite players. I hope this info isn't true.

Midwest Recruiting is not informed or "insiders" by any means at all. I came across their Twitter account the other day and honestly just laughed.
The reason his selection date was changed was because Springfield HS could not facilitate a large media event like that. False info, all Buckeye.
If it is true perhaps it's now advantage Buckeyes. I mean honestly it's hard if not impossible to tell what really goes on "behind the scenes" with players and coaching staffs. So who knows whats up with Snodgrass right now.
I will say this though, with Urban at the helm he will get the guys he needs.
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
That is a bunch of BS. First of all, NOTRE DAME WOULD BE HEAD OVER HEELS FOR THIS KID! Not a committable offer? Yeah right!
Not to mention he cancelled his trip to go see them and plans on attending many more OSU games! If he wanted to go there so bad, he wouldn't have cancelled that trip.
and as Urbz said above, we know the real reason why his announcement was cancelled.
I just love these "insiders" who say crap that isn't even close.
I agree with the previous two thoughts, plus Snodgrass just visited OSU practice yesterday (November 7) after cancelling his ND trip.
What a bold faced lie. Any program would take this kid in a heartbeat.
"if irony were made of strawberries, we' d all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now."
Have Alex or Miles ever said anything about this situation?
Well thanks to social media EVERYONE is a recruiting "expert" these days. Nothing to see here!
I just read that his coach said now he isn't going to commit until January or NLOI day '13? Anybody have any inside info or talk to Thad? I wonder also if maybe he told OSU's staff that he would like to commit but they want to wait until after the '13 class is done to know where they are before they accept '14 recruits?
Interesting turn of events here. Just hope if he does commit to us(or any team for that matter) that he knows 100% he wants to go there. College is a ways off for these young kids, better to wait and make the right choice than commit only to flip-flop later
Not true at all Dave Berk who is Mr. Notre Dame on Scout stated he has an offer but it doesnt matter bc hes had his mind made up for awhile now sorry to all the domers but def not true.
Buckeye
I sense hesitation in Alex's answer
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
Not tro dam, thats it...
He very well may be a Buckeye when all is said and done, but he's now pushed his announcement back, for one reason or another (involving his school and his coach), three times and the real announcement may not be until February. He may surprise me and just make a decision, but this one has "diva" written all over it with all of the updates.
Really? He's a diva because he hasn't committed by midway through his junior year. Maybe his coach just wants him to make sure he's explored all his options even though he knows where he wants to go. Notice how many of the '14 kids who committed early are now decommitting?
Also, maybe Meyer asked him to hold off committing until after the scUM game so there can be a flurry of commits at once to jumpstart the class.
What is drewbuckeye's read on the situation?
URBZ- I don't disagree with you that he's a Buckeye. I do however, find it hard to believe that Springfield High cannot accomodate a large media event.. For God's sake, the President was there a week ago today! I think it has to be deeper than Springfield High not being able to host his recruiting announcement, right?
Remember that in the end you will be judged not by what you believed, planned or dreamed; but, by what you did.
It was the school in some fashion, not Snodgrass. He tweeted it, Castel tweeted it. Somehow, Springfield HS wasn't ready for it. One could speculate a thousand things, but that's what has been said publicly.
What Snodgrass is doing (that countless other recruits do as well) is the equivalent of making the waiter stand by your table while you persuse the whole menu. It's a matter of etiquette in that situation; in this, I think it's a matter of maturity. Maybe his coach saw the second postponement of the announcement and counseled him to take his time. Maybe Meyer saw some indecision or haste that would lead to more drama later. and wouldn't take his commitment We'll probably never know. As a fan, I can simply tune him out (which I should probably do). As a coach, though, this would raise red flags.
lol I get a downvote for that?
Remember that in the end you will be judged not by what you believed, planned or dreamed; but, by what you did.
Doesn't raise red flags to me. He has said numerous times it has been postponed because the school would not allow him to hold a small presser to announce his decision.
The school not being ready for a big announcement sounds way more legit than "Notre Dame hasn't given him a committable offer so he pushed it back"! Notre Dame is starving for better wideout talent. They aren't horrible but they would not turn this kid away if he really wanted to go there. I totally believe the school thing and/or maybe he does want to take more time. either way, the heart wants what the heart wants and everything I have heard, his heart is OSU!
Diva? really guys... goodness people...
Guys, Snodgrass was just at OSU visiting this week and talked to Meyer. If that's not a good sign, what is? Enough with the diva crap. I don't care when he makes his decision public, but nothing leads me to believe he's headed anywhere else but Columbus.
Ever notice when a kid doesn't make an announcement when and the way we want to their character immediately is questioned? This is what I HATE about recruiting. We don't know any of these kids personally yet everyone feels qualified to have an opinion about what kind of person they are based on tweets, quotes, and how they announce their school. It's really out of control. It's not just with Snodgrass either. This is a reaction I'm having from several of recent and not so recent comments and threads about different recruits.
How many people think they could have pulled off organizing an announcement like this without someone competent from the school helping you out when you were in high school? Probably like 5% of the population, and I think that's being generous. Give the kid a break.
Agree @Btalbert, it's just too much.
When told OSU set school record for 50+ games this year, UFM said "That's good. We're gonna break that next year."
I think there might be more divas on this site due to all of the downvoting for someone just giving their opinion... I didn't realize this thread would cause such chaos and arguing.
I agree 100% @BT.
I agree w/ BT as well....
To the dissidents.... you get this!!!
Problems at Springfield High? I bet Nelson Muntz is behind this. Either that or Superintendent Chalmers can't get his act together.
Hey, I can reflect. If enough people are chomping at the bit to downvote my opinion, maybe it should have been reconsidered in the first place. We'll see how it all plays out soon enough, anyway and, if everyone's confidence is on target, Snodgrass will be a Buckeye.
Bucknuts has a thing today saying that they've heard Snodgrass tried to commit to Ohio State but they told him that they weren't ready for his commitment. The same article also said that they have heard he tried to commit to ND, who also told him that they weren't ready to accept his commitment. Confusing stuff. I hope that he takes his time and makes the right decision for him.
I see someone isn't a fan of the Simpsons.
