Most exciting player

Just want to ask everybody who the most exciting player they ever saw play live was? When I say live I mean actually at the game as well. Doesn't matter who they are or when they played. Who is your guy?

Mine was James Banks Ben Davis High School. 6'3 210 4.4 forty. I remember he was the first high school player I saw make an ESPN top 10 play of the week in a high school game. I was at that game when they took on another state power in Warren Central. It was a punt the ball flew over his head (bad snap) he went all the way back to his goal line and picked up and proceeded to juke, jive, and break tackles of all eleven players on the field. He went to Tennesse as a dual threat qb and lost his mind and never made it. I would have picked Barry sanders, but I never actually got to see him live and in person this is why I choose Mr. Banks.

Most exciting Buckeye I ever saw in person was Cris Carter. Some of the catches he made were unbelievable.

Most exciting Ohio H.S. player I ever saw in person was probably Carlos Snow when he played at the now defunct CAPE (Cincinnati Academy of Physical Education). Saw him in the 1986 playoffs vs. my alma mater. I had never seen a running back that freakishly good before. He torched us for like 200 yards in 3 quarters. It wasnt even funny.

A close second was current Atlanta Falcons running back Jason Snelling. I used to live near Petersburg, VA and caught one of his high school games for L.C. Bird back in 2001. He's not electrifying as Snow but he just ran over people.

I was also going to say Carlos Snow when he played for CAPE. He was insane.

Ray Williams, RB from Benedictine in Cleveland. He was such an unbelievable talent, such a shame to have seen it go to waste.

Big Ben Roethlisberger during his first varsity start at QB.  The guy was huge and could sling it around the field, showing off a big time arm.

At that time he obviously wasn't a well-known name yet (just ask John Cooper), but I think he threw 5 or 6 TD passes and started to get his recruiting train rolling.

Agree  with Carlso Snow saw a few games of CAPE.  It open space couldn"t not be tacked.  It a shame he came to Ohio State when were down those years. Carlos is still top 5 in ohio hich school history for touchdowns scored 104 also   number 3 in rushing 7,761

If you haven't seen Adrian Peterson tote the ball live in person you are missing out.

4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off

I saw Chris Carter at Middletown same school as  Marshalll. What an athelete great football and basketball player.  He could jump out his shoes to make a catch or a dunk.

Ted Ginn Jr. most definitely.  Although, Kenjon Barner did basically everything he could in that Rose Bowl to put his team in position to win with his special teams play...that guy be blazin'.

I had the privilege of watching the current freshman standout at Georgia Todd Gurley for every varsity snap he played. He was truly a man among boys at the high school level. We had a saying that when it was 3rd and long it was third and Gurley. Hand him the ball and 90% of the time you had your first down.

When I played pee-wee I got a chance to go to a few high school games and caught Chris Carter while he was at Middletown and Keith Byars when he was an underclassman at Trotwood before transferring to Roth. He had the size of Hyde and the dang near the speed of Ginn (6-1, 238, 4.5 forty) ... with the freakishly smallest stride you'd ever see. One of the coaches used to call him "Baby Step Byars" LOL. He was robbed of the Heisman by a Flutie Hail Mary. Shame. I know I was a kid then but I felt like I was watching superheroes out there. Men amongst boys ...

Great HS players, great Buckeyes, great pros ...

In high school Tyrell Sutton by far 250-300 yards rushing with 3-5 TD's 10 yards/carry was an average night against quality teams.

Unfortunately, Charles Woodson. Saw him when he was in high school. Best I have ever seen.

In NFL, it was Barry Sanders. Went to lots of Lions games back then, and nobody ever got out of seats when Lions had ball because everyone knew something special could happen on any play he got ball.

I know this is fball forum, but the most exciting bball player I ever saw was Jim Jackson in high school. I saw Lebron in high school too, but he was nowhere near as exciting in HS as JJ.
