Mike H20 Hart or Cpt'n Crunch.....

Which of these two dudes will have a better legacy at AACC.  I was thinking about this yesterday.  Between H2O-4 and Detard, aka Capt'n Crunch, who will be looked at as better.  I know, who cares, but I couldn't sleep and the mind started to wonder.

cap't Crunch had a win against OSU, so I'd go with that. Althoug speaking as an OSU fan, I am a big fan of Hart! Never seen a guy play so well except against our bucks!

That was my problem as well.  Hart was a gamer.  The dude never let the ball hit the turf and was a beast.  Detard got a win last year.  My guess would be Hart, but you never know with that delusional fan base up north.

Lets not sell Denard short guys. He murdered OSU in Ann Arbor-regardless of the team they beat that defense wasn't terrible. He also made a few plays against OSU this year and really was the reason that game was close into the second half. With that said, the second half of this most recent tilt is a perfect microcosm of Denard's career. When he's on, he's hard to stop. When the defense adjusts (4 carries, -2 yards and a fumble), he lacks the ability to adjust to the adjustment. Secondary adjustments seperate great teams and players and it was obvious OSU had a plan for Robinson that may have affected what plays Borges called.

I'm sure Michigan fans wanted to see more of him but there has to be a reason his number wasn't called that much in the second half. I would assume (and look forward to Ross' breakdown) that OSU was going balls to the wall selling out to the run and flowing to Robinson each time he was in the backfield. If he touched the ball, the D was going to hit him. I'd assume Borges saw that and didn't have an appropriate counter measure-again this is just my best guess having been in locker rooms at half time at a much, much lower level of talent\football.

I'm really in the same line as Squirrel. I really loved Mike Hart. That little guy talked so much and tried so hard but never got over that big, bad, OSU hump. I really love that a lot of Michigan fans will tell you that Hart, Henne, and Long were the all time greats at their respective positions. I'd have a hard time saying otherwise. Their futility against Ohio State puts them on my all time favorite Michigan team.

4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off

Ok his long touchdown was a physical anamoly, I think we can all agree. If both players don't hit equal surface area on both sides with equal force, he gets maybe 12 yards on that play. Denard can't a take a hit.

Regardless, a score is a score-that was of course the last meaningful time he touched the ball. I have an old coworker who is a Michigan fan and we were going back and forth all game in a friendly fashion. We both agreed that he may have been hurt Saturday. It really is baffling to me that he didn't get the ball more. Either Borges had no plan for OSU's D or they couldn't trust a banged up Robinson to tote the rock with regularity.

You are spot on Brewsters.  Detard is a great athlete and any time he had the ball could have gone to the house.  The same could be said for Hart.  I guess as a Buckeye fan looking at it as a fan of AACC, who would be better in my mind.  I'm voting Hart, but then again the cereal eating of Detard really has tainted the water for me.

I think Hart. He was blue collar sort of guy and tough, altho it did my heart good knowing he graduated having never beaten the Bucks

Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.

Mike Hart, who came back for his senior year to win the national championship. Only to promptly lose to Appalachian State.

Denard has a win against OSU.  Then again, ol' 0-4 never got to face an OSU team as bad as last year's team was.  Cap'n Crunch?  More like Fruity Pebble.

Class of 2010.

It's gotta be Hart.  Like it or not, Denard will always have the stink of RichRod on him...
