OSU commit DT Michael Hill isn't a big talker, but he did have a minute to tell me that he loved his official visit to Ohio State. Hill went on to say that he wishes he could sign his National Letter of Intent today and get to Columbus already and that he had a blast over the weekend. Josh Pery was his host and they got along really well.

Sweet. It's always good to hear enthusiasm from our verbal commits. I'm sure the coaching staff wants to sign him up as bad as he wants to sign up. The worst thing in my mind is having a verabl commit flip to another team. Don't want that to happen at OSU. That sort of thing only happens to other B1G coaches when Urban 'The Soul Crusher' Meyer comes to town for their wives and children (so to speak).
Is he a Hankins clone? We can only hope
Is he enrolling in the spring?
Hank has turned out to be an excellent player, but he wasn't that highly regarded at the time of his signing. EVERYONE wanted this Hill kid. Grabbing him outta SEC country is enormous. He's got the chance to be an instant game changer imo

LSU basically stole Lewis Neal from OSU. Just saying.
Can hardly consider him a commitment. He was here for what, 3 days?
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
Not just saying this as a "spurned OSU fan," but if we end up getting Mike Mitchell and Trey Johnson, losing Lewis Neal (technically a DE on most recruiting sites, but more of an OLB to me) and Alex Anzalone could be the best thing that ever happened to us. Was never a huge fan of either Anzalone or Neal. Not to say we couldn't have gotten them plus a Mitchell or Johnson, but I'd lose Anzalone and Neal for Mitchell and Johnson any day of the week.
Jaylon Smith is the only LB (it seemed like) we had a shot at that I really am disappointed we didn't get.
Hill is going to be VERY good
good to hear that
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Awesome! I can't wait to see in the S&C!
I think he will be in the two deep right away. He plays even more if Hankins leaves early.
Played against Hill in high school playoffs a couple years back.. Didn't line up on him, but from what i could see he was demolishing our interior. This kid is a stud
Alex, was this Michael's first time actually being on campus? Regardless, I'm happy the visit reaffirmed his commitment, and I'm looking forward to seeing him as a Buckeye.
second time....he came once this summer before he committed....all Buckeye and will be a good one...I expect him to get mins as a true frosh
I agree, and I'm excited to see it. Coach Vrabel seems to be doing a nice job coaching up the young talent.
