Media picking on the SEC

The article touches on some good points, but with the inevitable "super conferences" beginning to take shape IMO, what's a team or conference to do? I think it sucks, but this is where we're headed. With so many conference teams most schools will be left with playing mostly conference teams, so scheduling any OOC teams becomes a bit more difficult. The upside is we may see less of the "cupcake" scheduling with the "Big Dog" programs. Again just my opinion. Go Bucks!

@Gobucks  So are you saying that Sisters of the Poor could go undefeated in the near future?

I want an SEC team to come to the Shoe. Too bad they just like to stay in SEC country. I would love to play Alabama, LSU, Florida, and especially Georgia in the Shoe. Finally an article that speaks what I have been thinking this whole season.

F--- Michigan!

^I have to agree with Drew. The home and home series with the SEC seem to be few and far between. The last I can remember was an easily overmatched PSU team's home and home series with Alabama. Michigan vs Alabama? Neutral (southern) field. Oregon vs. LSU? Neutral (southern) field. Boise State vs Georgia? Neutral (southern) field.

It kind of reminds me of the 2004 & 2008 BCS National Championship games. I realize it was predetermined, but what about Oklahoma and OSU having to play LSU in New Orleans, Louisiana seems logical? I realize it's about money, but it gets frustrating that everyone else has to play the SEC on their terms.

@XTREMEBUCKEYE   NO....I just think we'll see schools be more specific on who they schedule. Money driven? Maybe, but "tune" up games will be less in volume based on the number of conference games played. Again just my opinion.....lord knows I could be wrong. My wife thinks I'm wrong all the time;-)

Sad thing is, SEC schools think their "Tough" conference makes up for a weak OOC scheldue, and ESPN goes along with it.

@Gobucks   I agree with what you said but as I was reading your first comment It struck me that some of the "Sisters of the Poor" teams could go undefeated if they dont play anyone in a top conference.

I would also like to see teams from the sec come play in B!G country again.

This is an extremely well written article that makes some great points.
