Has anyone seen the new uni's for Maryland, they are suppose to wear these against Florida State this weekend. I know a lot of you said you would not like to see Ohio State go to some sort of Black Uni's, but these are sharp, and I would like to see something like this with red instead of yellow.

The difference is: Black is one of their colors
I think they look pretty sharp
Not a huge fan of anything Under Armour puts out, its alright. To bad for Maryland the uniforms wont help them compete.
Pay It Forward!
^^^ disagree.... Look good turns to feeling good turns to playing good!!!
Sarcasm aside, I lol'ed at your comment @Craftforthesteal
Agree with Georgia Buckeye. Those sort of uniforms (and Oregon's) to me say nothing really about their tradition. It's just a blank slate. To me Ohio State is a university with a rich history, rich traditions, famous color-scheme. Scarlet and Gray. Just don't see the point in going all-black except to try to look trendy.
I was literally just getting on here to post this after seeing it on the book of faces.
I am still waiting on an actual gray uniform. I seriously don't understand why we don't have three different uniforms: scarlet, white, and gray. The gray would be like an alternate, kind of like how Northwestern has a black, a purple, and a white uniform. Anyone else thinking like I am or am I in the minority?

I like them. I would not like them for the Bucks. The main difference for me is that Black is one of the UMD school colors (along with yellow and red) the terps need something to make them feel good this year since they have gone through 5 qbs and are starting a lb at that position now!
Buckeye in PA purgatory
I'll bet Stefon digs them!!!
"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."
Oregon's mentally challenged little brother. Come on Maryland. You are better than this! (No you are not). Also, I bet they wished their players were in as good of shape as the model in the picture.
I think the difficulty with a team like OSU doing anything like this is that we have more tradition with our uniforms than a lot of schools (like Maryland). This is why I don't mind doing a one-off change in the unis, but we will never be Oregon or Maryland with new jerseys every week. Nor should we be. So in otherwords, do I like these for Maryland? Yeah. Do I want OSU to emulate them? Absolutely not.
Also, who gave One Bad a down vote for a pun?
This year's Maryland jerseys with a muted rendition of their state flag have been really, really good (they also had a white version against WVU).
As Doc said, we don't need one-off jerseys as our schtick. IF we have them they should be akin to a previous jersey.
Also: calling a jersey 'black ops'? Shark = jumped.
Taquitos.
I guess if black-on-black-on-black is someone's thing then they are good. Johnny Cash would be proud I'm sure. I've seen enough of the heavy-on-black scheme that this really doesn't do much for me at all. I'm about over the chrome helmets by now too. I actually prefer the matte look over the chrome.
But as far as Maryland goes, these are still better than those craptastic flag-helmet abortions of a uniform they've worn in the past. :)
Also, only vaguely related, I realize that our uniforms (between jersey, gloves, shoes) have a lot of Nike logos, but that Maryland uniform is overkill with the Under Armour logos. Is it the University of Maryland or the University of Under Armor?
Those black Terp unis are FAR better than those hideous crash-test-dummy looking ones they opened the season with last year.
Remember the ruckus Cooper caused by wearing those scarlet and black coaching shirts back in the 90s? I'm not thinking black OSU uniforms will be popular. Maybe I'm wrong.

@LLJJGG: Actually, The University of Under Armour is fairly accurate: the CEO of UA is a Maryland alum and pretty much has his way when it comes to dictating uniforms (and stadium experience; imagine the Shoe having 'WE MUST... PROTECT THIS HOUSE! played over the loudspeakers every defensive third down. Ugh).
Taquitos.
Denny,
I went to the Maryland vs. Delaware game a couple years ago (UMD 14-7 ouch) and the "We will protect this house" guy was there live.
Pretty cool but it just doesn't have the atmosphere of the shoe... nothing does.
I actually wish we would go back to our gray stripes, and while we are at it.... ditch the field turf.
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
@ CC: I went to last year's sensory-overload downpour game against Miami. The announcer guy wasn't there, just cheesy piped-over-the-PA Under Armour sloganry. It was pretty disappointing, though Ohio Stadium isn't without advertising either.
Taquitos.
Must have these Buckeye style
I've never been a fan of same color pants and jersey. I hate Texas' white on white, and Colorado's/other's black on black. I wouldn't wan't to see the Buckeyes do this, especially not all scarlet or all white. All Gray might be ok.
Stick with the gray pants and white or scarlet jerseys. They're perfect.
No thanks. I don't like black uniforms if they're not one of the school colors.
It's not new. It's just one of the uniforms they didn't get to wear last year.
