Ok, this week I am obligated to hate all football teams from That State Up North. (Especially after I saw that Cobalt and Sun colored American flag with an "M" in the corner in the stands behind the goalpost.) Still, I can't help but feel bad for the hapless Lions who were robbed when the officials gave the Texans a free touchdown by refusing to blow the whistle when a player was clearly down. Maybe it's the Browns fan in me who can't help but feel bad for the down-and-out loser...

Bad call and I tried to feel sorry for them but it just wouldn't happen.
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Watching the Browns, Bengals and Lions is almost painful at times. Seems like they find the most amazing ways to lose games. Thank goodness we at least have the Buckeyes who win consistently.
Did u see schaub get kicked in the groin by suh? Yeah i don't feel bad one bit.
That OT was brutal to watch.
The officials missed that call, yeah, but if Schwartz hadn't overreacted and thrown his challenge flag immediately then it goes to the booth, gets overturned and everyone is happy. He really should have known about that rule.
Also, that play gave us this gif, which evens it out IMO
Aannndddd he shanked the playbook off of the right side of his foot!! Even the classic "Tantrum on the Sideline" is poorly executed by the Lions. Thanks for the gif, Javelen.
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
I love the reaction of #98 at the end of it.
1) The kick may have been intentional, but even a international ranked blackbelt is not that good to hit him in the crotch without being able to see him. So to say he kicked him in the crotch on purpose is like saying someone who threw a ball backwards at someone they couldn't see hit them in the nuts on purpose.
2) By the way this whole thing is being treated, Schaub probably has a vagina with all this estrogen wrapped around football now-adays. Anyone remember when they use to twist ankles under the piles? Guys whom the same people calling out Suh would talk as if they were saints an Gods.
3) Please let me know when the requirement to play football is estrogen shots to increase safety...
Issue is that people are over analyzing the kick in slow motion. That removes the real time component of what a human can and cannot do. This gif is pretty clear that this was accidental:
I hated how the announcers kept talking about the kick like it may or may not have been intentional, too. The man was being drug down and was staring at the ground when it happened.
But I still find Suh to be a thug.
The kick still looks intentional to me. Did he intend to kick the guy *in the nuts*? Maybe not. But it still looks to me like he knew he was close to the quarterback and intentionally extended his leg to kick him.

Javelin,
Regardless of this particular incident, Suh does try to hurt people.
I think it's clear that once he felt that his leg swung and hit Schaub he then instinctively kicks harder. That's clearly not a natural movement at the end there.
It is clear it is one fluid action with no kick at the end, in fact it is a very natural movement. Had this been say... the tooth fairy and Suh this wouldn't even be a discussion. People read into what Suh does because of his other actions. This one should be a non-issue...
I don't typically follow the NFL. I think this was the second game I've watched all season. I had no prior opinion about Suh before watching the game. So your hypothesis that everyone is coloring their opinions about this incident based on their prior opinions of Suh is just plain wrong in my case. I had no idea that Suh was known as a dirty player.
He is clearly using extra effort at the end to extend his leg into the quarterback. The kick is clearly intentional.

I'm sorry, but he didn't and that is clear ;) Don't watch it in slow motion or you can get fooled. Watch it real time, no time to make that kind of decision while he is being flipped and is facedown in the turf. It's just nonsensical... watching it in real time it looks completely on accident.
Apparently, the NFL feels like the kick was "suspicious."

Only because it is Suh...
Of course he is a dirty player. Johnny Cash told us all about him in his song "A Boy Named Suh".
