Fisher has voted Florida State #4 with his coaches vote, behind Oregon, K-State and Notre Dame.
Fisher says it too much who you play, not how you play..... I guess last Thursday's performance against Va Tech (4-6) and the Seminoles loss to North Carolina State (6-4) has impressed him.
Fisher wonders "How retarded is it?" when asked about being ranked #10 in the BCS behind three 2-loss SEC teams
Florida State Schedule so far:
Murray State FCS.....former division 2...... (4-6)
Savannah State FCS....former division 2.... (1-9)
Wake Forest (5-5)
Clemson (9-1)
South Florida (3-6)
North Carolina State- L (6-4)
Boston College (2-8)
Miami Fla (5-5)
Duke (6-4)
Virginia Tech (4-6)
I hope South Carolina beats Clemson and Florida beats Florida State to end the season, then Florida State loses the ACC Champ Game to either Miami Fla or Georgia Tech. Look at your schedule Jimbo....You have 1 loss to NC State. You have played 2 FCS schools and only 2 schools period- that have a winning record!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean, he has to stump for his team but a little dose of reality about his team's situation probably wouldn't hurt either. Jimbo needs to work on being a tad more PC too...not that anything really ever offends me, but he has to know the spotlight is on him.
You say this now. But wait unil next year when OSU has a very weak schedule. We might be the ND of next year.
I actually think the computers suck. And FSU not being even ranked in some show the obvious flaws in the system.
Florida State has played 2 division 2 teams.......one of them is 1-9 the other is 4-6
Florida Sate has a loss to a 6-4 team
Florida State has beaten 2 teams with a winning record
What part of any of this is impressive?
Ohio State, as bad as we think our schedule has been, has beaten 3 teams with a winning record.
Nebraska 8-2
Penn State 6-4
Central Florida 8-2
I agree w/ Fisher to a point though. Computers are what's hurting his teams rank, and they don't take into consideration the talent level, and eye test. No way should FSU be ranked #34 in the Sarg rankings behind numerous 5-5 teams just because they're scheduled ended up being terrible. They'll have a chance to prove a little more when they play Florida though. And if Clemson beats S. Carolina, that should help them out too.
Central Florida shouldn't have lost to Mizzu. I knew they would end up with around 10+ wins. At least that's somewhat of a quality win. If Cal didn't lose half their team to injuries, that probably could have been another decent win for us.
Not sure why he is complaining. It isn't going to change anything. The computers already won't matter anymore once playoff starts.
If Fisher wants and Eye Test, here's my diagnosis:
the last time I watched Clemson (Florida State's statement victory) play they gave up 70 points to West Virginia in 3 quarters.
The last time I watched Florida State play, they were lucky to beat 4-6 Virginia Tech.
That's about as much of an "Eye Test" the National media has been giving OSU, since they lost back to back BCS NC games 5 years ago.
You wanna get ranked higher? Don't schedule one, let alone two, FCS schools!

Thank you very much!!!! I feel like I was the only one noticing the weak schedule through the weekly BCS rankings. Fisher wants something fixed? Fix your schedule, travel to play OOC games and win when you are supposed to. Within 2 years of the playoff being implemented, Teams will abandon this scheduling system because the committee will punish them as opposed to the BCS of rewarding undefeated vs tough losses. Main example Kansas in the Orange Bowl
HAHA they've played 3 winning teams, and 2 of them are NC State and Duke. What a joke of a schedule that is.
