2013 Tallahassee (FL) Lincoln LB James Hearns said the in-home with Coach Fickell and Coach Hinton went well. He said the coaches answered "any question or concerns me or my mom had" and he also set an official for the weekend of January 11th.
Right now the only other official he has set is to Florida, where he has been a commit since February 2nd.

Flip! Love it.
So you're tellin' me there's a chance.....YEAH!
Luke Fickell is working magic on the trail...oh yeah and URBAN F'n MEYER
I know it is highly unlikely but if Urban can close with Mitchell, Johnson, and Herns the class could go from having no LBs to the strength of the class.
I just wanted to comment on the "having no LBs" thing. Are we forgetting about Tyquan Lewis? Isn't he projected to play Viper/LB? I just hate not to mention him because I think he'll be a great player.
I think Lewis is going to be a nightmare for QB's off of the end... I like him in the viper spot too because he can drop back.
Along with Spence, Washington, Bosa, Hill, etc. I almost feel sorry for opposing QBs. Okay, not really.
Plus, I recall the staff telling Darron Lee that he could potentially play LB, Star, or Safety.
With all that said, I don't mean to take away from the excitement of Hearns setting up an OV. The staff is doing great work!
What happens if we have Mitchell, Johnson, and Hearns all wanting to commit? Who does the staff take?
All of them.

Since the primary recruiting need according to Urban is LB, is there any chance we still take 3 more? Mitchell, Trey Johnson, and Hearns would be an unreal haul. With potentially 7-8 more openings predicted, could that happen?
Derek made a projection yesterday that included 3 more LBs, so I'd say it's certainly possible.
EDIT: Looking at next year's roster not including walk-ons or 2013 kids:
Obviously, we lose Sabino, Klein, and Boren. That puts us at 8 scholly LBs on the roster. Assuming we want at least three deep at each position, we'd need at least 9 scholly LBs. Also, looking at the roster, it really is amazing how young our remaining LBs are. Development will be key.
can you provide a link to Derek's prediction. Thanks.

It's in this thread.

Only 2 WR? I was hoping for 3 as a min
What I'm hoping for is that today's home visit w/ Trey Johnson locks him up, Mike Mitchell commits on campus at the end of his visit December 7th, and then two Florida commits (McMillian and Hearns) fight over the last spot... Funny how some places list Hearns as a Solid Commit and he's taking officials elsewhere...
Sounds like Jamal Marcus might be making a move to defensive end. Took reps with them pre-game last 3 weeks according to some that were there.
They can definitely take 3 LB's. The question is if they can take 4 (Mitchell, Trey, Worley, Hearns)
Can Worley not play the Star position? This is why I feel like Worley will pull the trigger soon. If he sees these other guys gaining interest to OSU, he could lose out on his spot.
I dont think Worley will lose his spot either way to be honest. I think the staff is very high on. Higher than what ppl think.
The staff knows Worley gives them some flexibility such as Darron Lee. Both could possibly be a Safety, play the star, or grow into a Linebacker.

It's unlikely, but Darron Lee could also play offense. I'm not sure what kind of hands he has but at 6'3" 205 he could make a mean receiver. He runs well, and I believe that he played a little offense in the camp scene this off season
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
well.......... it could only be a plus? right?
#Buckeyes
If either Lee or Worley have good hands and we don't get a big (size) WR in this class, I'm not opposed to moving them over to offense. I understand what Urban is doing tho. He sees the need to build the defense to win titles and then add a few playmakers on offense. I'd like to see another OL too.
With Johnson, Mitchell, and Worley all looking in, has Skai Moore lost his spot in your opinion Derek?
Can't really envision a scenario where Worley gets left out. I think the two Florida guys are fall back plans if Johnson and Mitchell don't commit here. The Glenville-OSU pipeline could potentially go cold if Worley doesn't become a Buck...and we don't want that pipeline to go cold.
Champions Bleed Scarlet & Gray
The pipeline won't necessarily go cold. OSU is high on Marshon Lattimore & Marcelys Jones for 2014.
