Hey all, I know that another notch in the "W" column is the most important thing for OSU this Saturday, regardless of how the Bucks achieve it. (I would prefer by a large margin to calm my nerves and to swell my pride, but hey, a win is a win). The question I have for the forum is this... Which would you rather see? Carlos Hyde racking up 176+ yards rushing to eclipse 1,000 for the season, or Brax accounting for at least 4 total TD's to tie/break the OSU single-season record for total touchdowns? I know that neither of these are guaranteed, but if either feat is accomplished, I don't see how it would hurt our preferred outcome of The Game. As always, GO BUCKEYES!

I vote both!
If I had to choose, though, I'd go with Braxton getting the TDs, since they are guaranteed points (in this hypothetical situation). 176+ yds by Hyde would be very nice, but there are no for sure points in that situation.

Yes.
I'd like to see Hyde go all Tim Biakabatuka (or however it is spelled) on them. That would make for a most enjoyable day.
With all due respect to everyone's ethnicity, I have always thought that name "Tshimanga Biakabutuka" looks like the alphabet just vomited...

Just like Alhan said and for the same reason . Braxton or both if possible (I think both could happen by the way)

would be tough to turn down 176 by hyde, beacuse thats a LOT of time management. Hard to loose any game if your that successfull running the ball.
I think that 176 for El Guapo is definitely a possibility, especially if they defend Miller the way Wisconsin did. Braxton needs to trust his reads and give the ball up though. If we gash them up the middle like we did at times against Wisconsin and the defense adjusts by bringing its safeties back inside, then I think we could get both.
How many carries do you think it would take for El Guapo to get 176 yards or more? I am thinking 27+

I would like to see El Guapo get 176 yards on his first two carries.
Would love to see him get 25+
I think it would probably take 30 carries by Carlos to get that unless he absolutely gashes some long runs (which I, of course, would prefer for the YPC average as well as the MEF--that's Meatchicken Embarrassment Factor). That would definitely cut into B. Miller's rushing stats, but if they stay balanced he can still attain a decent total yardage through the air (which would be better if we could grab some YAC for once). Plus XBrax360 can always read option from inside the 10 for a few rushing touchdowns of his own. I'm on the 'both' bandwagon!
I'd like to see Carlos reach 1,000 yards rushing. No one questions what kind of playmaker Braxton is; on the other hand, Coach Meyer has said it himself--people frequently try to negatively recruit against him by arguing that he's never had a 1,000 yard RB, and that an Urban Meyer offense is not conducive to 1,000 yard rushers/churn it out RBs. Hyde has already dispelled the "Urban Meyer offenses aren't fit for big backs" myth, I'd like to see him destroy the "you can't have a 1,000 yd RB in an Urban Meyer offense" preconception as well.
I'd also like to see Carlos run for 176+ because that kind of rushing performance demoralizes a defense, and there's nothing more enjoyable than a sulking Michigan team getting run over! Happy Thanksgiving! haha.
I'm rooting for the big guy. Hyde has been a "Rock" while carrying the rock. He has come up big when we've needed to run the clock, pick up a first, or get into the endzone.
