Despite giving up almost 200 yards on the ground to Mon-Tay Ball I have to say that I was extremely impressed with our Defense today. Made clutch plays when needed and showed some pride today. I am damn proud of our team after this win. The Offense did not show up but that is bound to happen a couple of times during a season. I think it's safe to say that both units will be ready to play next week. GO BUCKS!!!

Very solid defensive game. We gave up something like 200 yards rushing to Ball, but that was in large part because our offense wasn't able to stay on the field after the 1st quarter. Simon and Shazier played like behemoths!
One thing I'd say, though, is I would have liked to see a little bit more blitzing (ala closer to the Penn State game). I think the fact that their offensive line was constantly shifting probably had an effect on that though (i.e. they might not have wanted to blitz players when we were having to adjust our assignments every play). We made every play we had to though, INCREDIBLY clutch defensive play. Our offense owes them dinner.
Not back yet, but a very nice effort. It's still maddening to see guys wide open downfield; however, you cannot argue with 14 points!
On a day when the offense was not at its best, it was nice to have the defense keep Wisconsin to 14 points
So back is not the right word, but they have played a lot better recently. Gives me some hope for next year, but we lose quite a few players (although that might be a good thing in certain cases).
Not back but getting better. Wisconsins strength on O was our strength on D, same thing with MSU. Spread us out and you score points still.
What should have everyone excited is that late in the game with everything on the line Urban felt comfortable enough to play Schutt and Spence on 3rd downs. I know we are losing some amazing d lineman. Simon, Hankins, Williams and even Gobel are legitimate bigtime playmakers for us. I will truely miss watching all of them play after next week. That being said, the future of the Bullets is very bright.
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
The great thing about this Buckeye team is that they always find a way to WIN. Years past it seems like we always got tripped up on a game like this one. Go Buckeyes
