Saban said Sunday that is isn't fair that the Gators, fifth-ranked in the BCS, likely will play in the Sugar Bowl over the loser of the Southeastern Conference title game..."It's not really a great scenario," Saban said. "You play your way into the (SEC) championship game, which means you're the best team in your division. ... It doesn't seem quite right"
Didn't that prick have more or less the same scenerio last year that got him into the national championship? Alabama didn't win their division, didn't make it to the conference championship; however, STILL found themselves in the National Championship...His wife better start making him wear protection because Nick whores himself out constantly to the media and probably has something.

Such a hypocritical thing to say, on the positive side, I saw on twitter that the Browns will make a big push to hire Saban this off-season
As a Dolphins fan I can tell you exactly how well that works out; however, as a Buckeyes fan I hope he does go to the Browns. Makes recruiting that much easier for Urban until of course he pulls a Saban...quits the Browns and joins Michigan State...lol

Whether he means it or not I do agree with his point though. Georgia won their division and plays an extra game while Florida sits at home. If Georgia looses it actually benefits Florida to have not won the division and hurts Georgia for playing an extra game. I hate Saban too, but I do agree with him on this.
I agree 100% with the justification behind it; however, just last year he was saying the EXACT opposite. I guess that is what pisses me off. He should run for congress.
I don't get why he's mad...Don't they all root for the SEC like they are 1 big team anyway?

Georgia would have justification for going to the Sugar Bowl if they lose; they beat Florida head-to-head. The fact that it's Nick Saban saying this is why it's annoying. Why would Alabama deserve to go ahead of Florida?
They wouldn't. This sounds suspiciously like Saban covering his @$$ if his team loses, which is surprisingly defeatist for someone like him...
"The revolution will be televised."
It is a good point, but it's pure hypocrisy coming out of his mouth.
Class of 2010.
I agree with Nick Saban and totally disagree with you @Big 10 Buckeye. Florida lost to Georgia head to head. They did not win their division within the confrence, why in the world should they jump the loser of the SEC championship?!?! Go Bucks!
My point is that Saban is a hypocrite...Last season he stated the EXACT opposite. I don't disagree with the statement I disagree with how his stance has changed since last year.

This post is great and right on time for me. Im in New Orleans tonight meeting with employees from Louisiana and Alabama. I had to share this one with the Alabama group. Ahh you would have thought I started a civil war. For some reason they couldnt see the hypocrisy.
You should have shared it with both groups to see if in unison they started chanting SEC SEC SEC...Maybe Saban forgot Florida is in the SEC...Or maybe it's SEC unless it screws me...I don't know. I can't understand half the shit these people say in the South.

You tell the SEC when they can learn to read and write, then they can figure out what we're doing. - Gordon Gee
I agree completely with Saban. His team, Alabama, should absolutely not have benefited from THIS SAME EXACT SCENARIO last year. Agree in principle, but Saban is a hypocrite (a prerequisite for coaching in the SEC).
We can't stop here; this is bat country...
@B1G Buckeye 10, I understand your argument he is a hypocrite
