ah yes, he must have the as yet unpublished book by Pete Carrol; "The NCAA and You: How to Deal with Recruiting Violations Investigation by Escaping to the NFL" coming soon to university bookstores near you..... not really
All the games of the season are just practices for that glorious saturday in November when we get to jack Shoelace's invisible cereal bowl and drink our fill of delicious skunkweasel tears ...Michigan Still Sucks!!
I've heard this rumor going around for a few weeks now. There is another rumor Oregon may be in more NCAA hot water and that Chip Kelly may pull a Pete Carroll and jump ship. There's also the rumor Andy Reid is toast (which is highly likely considering what a flop they've been the last 2 seasons). Kelly was offered the Tampa Bay Bucs job last year before Greg Schiano took it. I think Kelly wants to move to the NFL eventually. Likely sooner than later.

I don't know how much of a rumor that is. I heard Aikman talking about it during the Cowboys game with them a few weeks ago. They were talking about it as if it was pretty much a done deal.
Here the stat of day who has a won a game last the eagles or phillies. The answer is phillies that amazing the eagles have lost that many games in a row.
Personallyt, I think Chip Kelly would fail in the NFL, maybe even worse than Steve Spurriur. Gimmicks simply will not cut it, ie the wildcat experiment.
I love when that Oregon offense got busted up by OSU in the Rose Bowl a few years back. It just takes some fundamentally sound athletes on defense who can tackle well, take good angles, and force the RB outside-in to the defensive help.
That's the same thing Stanford did a few weeks ago. they didnt have anyone all that awesome on defense and they shut the Ducks down. The OSU D in the 2010 Rose Bowl was MUCH better.

Anyone remember Pete Carroll jumping ship to the NFL
Look for Captain Kelly to do the same....Oregon's street agents are turning on them and on Nike....when you lay in bed with scum and think they will be loyal when you stop paying them that is your own stupidity.
Kelly's offense would last 2 weeks in the NFL. Remember back when the Lions flirted with the wishbone/option back in the late 80s? That was before they drafted Barry Sanders. It didn't go well.

Seems like Oregon is always vulnerable to physical teams, espeically when that team has time to prepare for them. Boise Staet, Ohio State, LSU last year, and Auburn's D were very effective against them. When they play teams who are strong in the trenches, especially on the D side of the ball, they get beat.
Another one of these....
Mods - Can we PLEASE create a single thread for coaching rumors?

Actually, unlike said topic starter, this is the first time I have "bitched" about this. But I did upvote anyway.
I used the wink instead of itallics, just busting balls man. It's all good.

Maybe he'll take the job, then decide not to and come back to Oregon again.
He will go to the Nfl this time. Oregon is being investaged for recruting violations.

But actually, really.
I cant take this article seriously when the title has a spelling error in it...

~Because we couldn't go for three~
Chip Kelly's offense in the NFL = LOLz and FAIL
Run_Fido's favorite word is strawman.
Just look at the time Spurrier was there and the success he didn't have.

When I first saw the headline I thought it had something to do with this guy:

As the great Si Robertson would say, "He Gone"
Listen Jack! I think you're right!
Just as long as it's not Cleveland, I'm behind this 100%!

Good call on this one, actually

It should be noted that Te'o's girlfriend never... well, you know.
