If you guys could give the ball to someone besides braxton when you really needed the big play who would it be? Then also how would you get the ball to them? Just kind of wondering what peoples thoughts are of the current talent on the roster and how people think they are best used.

Man thats a tough one......though he is not consistent I would have to go with Devin Smith. via deep ball!!
Hardly home but always reppin
At this point I would say either Hyde or Rod Smith on the inside zone. That's probably not a sexy pick, but the running game has been the most consistent part of the Ohio State offense, even taking Braxton out of the equation.
Hyde has shown consistency and effectiveness, as well as some explosiveness. Rod Smith, when given an inch of space, has been the most explosive RB.

3rd and 2 on the goal line it's Hyde. 3rd and long on the goal line, Stoneburner. He'll catch it.
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
Short yardage I would have to say have Hyde and Boren in the backfieldfor a power I kinda look. From there you can either hand off to Hyde or run play-action
Hyde just seems like the clutchest player we have on offense outside of Brax. Goaline, 3rd and short, he seems to always get it done. Draw up the middle.
A lot of "if's" with this question... Depends on the situation... Probably Carlos Hyde in a running situation through a planned hand-off... Not a read option... Passing I would actually probably go to a tight end in the seam... In the future... I would give it to Marshall on a jet sweep...
Inverted veer with El Guapo... If it aint broke dont fix it.
Nothing like dancing on the field in 02...
Kenny Guiton!
@Toad1204 Inverted veer, as in Hyde gets it on the sweep? Have we run that before? Only time I remember us using the inverted veer was that sick Braxton run vs. Nebraska. Either way, not a bad choice, would love to see him bring the hammer on the edge of the D.
4-6 seconds of relentless effort
Nkohl stole mine. there has been but a few incidents where Braxton wasn't on the field and the man who stepped up most was Kenny G. I think he would be about as clutch as we will find outside of Braxton.
Roy - figure its working well for Brax and if Hyde can get out and run someone over we get an easy 5. As Buck in the SEC said... lots of 'ifs' in this post.

Well if this is a crazy need a whole bunch of yardage kind of play while Braxton isn't able to be used. I guess would put Philly Brown at quarterback, Rod Smith in the backfield, and Carlos Hyde at reciever. I would run an option with Philly and Rod. A fake Reverse with Hyde for a decoy. And on the opposite side of the field I would have a streak by Devin Smith during all the commotion to see if he gets lost.
If this is just a regular "I need this many yards for the first down" I would use Kenny and run a inside post with Stoneburner and have Rod Smith or Hyde coming out of the backfield for a checkdown screen.
Without a specific scenario I have to say Hyde. He has really came out an made it happen. Run or toss to the flats and let him fight for it. Other option is Stoney in my miind. He fits for what is needed, look at last game where he fought for the first and then nailed that TD (only caveot is someone has to get him the ball)
