Thank you Buckeyes for another GREAT season! And for the final time to everyone calling for Fickell's head earlier in the year - bite it! The D rose up AGAIN in the second half and punched Mich right in the mouth. LOVE IT!!!

It was great to watch our defense on all those 3rd and shorts. We shut down Michigan in the second half.
Defense came up BIG in the 2nd half. Great adjustments @ halftime by Fickell & Co. Super proud of the coaches and the players!
Great way to send the seniors out.
I still say he gets fired, but that's just me
u really think he gets fired gene?
i think he gets a job somewhere else before he gets fired... i thought he was being looked at for other head coaching jobs
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
What an incredible effort on D today and especially in the second half! Had you told me prior to the game that scUM would not cross midfield after the half I'd have never believed it. To think this group did it without John Simon just illustrates why this team was so special this year.
I honestly believe that this was an audition year for Drayton, Vrabel and Fickell. Drayton passes with flying colors. I'm on the fence with Fickell & Vrabel. It's going to count next year so we'll see how it plays out.
In the last 5 games our D really stiffened up when our offense went south. If you ask me, the worst part of our team was penalties and special teams. Those 2 areas are most likely on Meyer; he wants the aggressiveness and it cost the team often this year
I am not gonna credit just Fickell or point out any coach's successes or failures because they aren't the ones on the field. I will point out the obvious and say Boren at middle linebacker turned our defense around completely. His aggression and smarts made our linebacking corps look like one of the true OSU linebacking group. He has the speed that Storm Klein doesn't have and the intelligence and play recognition that Curtis Grant is still lacking. Also, there less big plays broken on us in the later half of the season, which means our defense finally started communicating. Also, the difference in Christian Bryant's pass defense has been remarkable. He made good, smart plays yesterday that I haven't seen all season. If Roby and Hankins stay this year and our team continues to improve like they did this season, I see no reason why we aren't favorites for the national championship next season.
