per Espn - Junior wide receiver A.J. Barker, one of the team's best stories this season, announced on Twitter that he's quitting the team and made strong allegations of mistreatment by head coach Jerry Kill. Barker, the Gophers' top wideout. He then directed his followers to a newly created tumblr page, where he posted an extensive letter to Kill detailing why he's quitting (warning: the letter contains profanity).

Make sure you link this letter to a blog titled. How not to get a follow on sholorship to another school.
This seemed very Jerry McGuire-esque
~Because we couldn't go for three~
Wow! Not sure what to think of this, but it's clearly not a smart move by Barker.
definite issues there. Sounds like Barker leaving the team is the best solution to the situation. Pent up emotions make it hard to see eye-to-eye with another person whom you have a conflict with.
F-ing EPIC!!!

I didn't get along with my junior and senior coach at all. I was one of the best players on our team if not the best and he was always riding me. He never cussed at me or anything like that but we constantly disagreed on many issues revolving on the way I should play. I felt I should play the point and he didn't think I handled the ball well enough. I was a small forward and led the team in scoring but I wanted to handle the ball and have more assists. It came to the point where coach told me if I could beat him one on one, he'd let me play the point. This was my junior year and he had just gotten out of college and was much stronger and faster than me. At that time, I had no idea that strength really did make a huge differance in the way you play. I figured I could beat him but he beat me pretty bad in front of the whole team! I was so humiliated and I thought what he did to me was wrong but as the years have gone by, I realize that I was a head strong boy who wouldn't listen to his coach. I learned to keep my mouth shut and do what the coach taught me and by the end of my senior year, I was the one who could beat him pretty easily and we actually became good friends.
I've had several coach's in my time. Some were just plain jerks and some were really good coach's and motivators. Some have been good friends and some I wouldn't give the time of day but all of my coach's shared one thing, they ALL made me a better person and a better coach myself. They taught me how to treat my players and not to treat them. They all taught me how to respect myself and how to push myself. I get the feeling that Mr. Barker hasn't reflected on the opportunities that were given to him. You may not appreciate the bad but you have to go through the good and the bad to become the person your meant to be.
