Bill Greene of Scout says Conley will take an unofficial to OSU on Saturday. This is big news as Brady Hoke's policy is if a committed player takes visits they lose their spot in UM's class. Buckeyes and Oregon were thought to be two biggest threats.

Conely visiting for an unofficial is big.

- visits OSU in general +1

- visiting against his former commited school +1

- making an unofficial for The Game +1

- still has official left, for another possible visit +1

Meyer could lock this one up if Conley really falls in love w. OSU.

I like this kid because he can play either side of the ball... If we land Quick and Gibson he can go to the defense. If we miss on a few WR options he could play offense. I like the thought of flipping him from brady joke the most.

Have a feeling he may not ever visit Oregon...not trying to sound too over confident either btw. I think Urban seals this up this weekend.

This is great news, although if it is an "unofficial" visit, is he trying to keep one foot in the door with UM? Does anyone know if Hoke & Co. make a distinction with their policy if the kid takes an "unofficial" versus an "official" visit, or not?

The experts are almost positive that Chip Kelly is going to leave for the NFL after this year. If Conley is serious about opening his recruitment, and this is an honest visit, we would be in great shape to get him.

For whatever it's worth, SI writer Stewart Mandel was on a radio show here in DC a few weeks back and said that usually he likes to remain noncommittal on coaching changes, but he'd just about bet his career that Chip Kelly leaves for the NFL. If not this year then next.

Also, I have no idea why you're getting down voted for doubting Chip Kelly going to the NFL. It's just an opinion.

It's long been speculated that a number of NFL teams will look at Chip Kelly to be their next head coach. I wouldn't be shocked to see him in the NFL, possibly with the Browns. Don't care how crappy the team is, they still will pay him more than Oregon

I find it funny how Buckeyinannarbor made fun of Alex for not spelling Gareon Conley's name right, but he proceeds to screw up Chip Kelly's name later! Well done!
