Rudy Hubbard, the running backs coach for Archie at OSU left to become the HC at Fl A&M in the 70's They have most recently been in the news for the band hazing / suspension incidents. They compete in the Mid Eastern Athletic Conference. Their marquee game this year was Oklahoma in Norman.
Absolutely. It drives me nuts when FBS teams schedule FCS teams. IMO the FBS team should drop in the rankings (assuming they are ranked to begin with) the following week as punishment. There are 124 FBS teams. One of them should be available.
If they don't go 13-0 with that schedule... yuck. It's gonna be a boring season next year. To be fair, having Vanderbilt on the schedule wouldn't really have made it much better.
I think the Big Ten will be a lot stronger next year because the quarterback play should be improved and the newer coaches will have more of their guys in their system. At least that's what I'm hoping, praying and crossing my fingers for. Also, just the name Urban Myer will give us a ton of credibility. Besides that, the only teams getting into the NCG with a loss will be from the SEC
The B1G could potentially be much stronger next year and as long as tOSU handles their business and runs the table the Buckeyes would play for the BCS Championship. The non conference schedule is awfully weak but the Bucks should be preseason top 7 if not top 5 depending on how the season plays out which means they will be in a prime position to make a title run. The only possible scenario where a weak schedule could kill a championship bid would be 3 undefeated teams and the other 2 come from major conferences like SEC, Big 12, or Pac 12.
They'll beef it up when 1 loss doesn't keep us out of the top 4 in a playoff system #2014! ..a loss as weak as the B1G Is will most likely leave us on the outside looking in next year!
We really need some help next year for a title run and hopefully the B1G will do well in the bowl season. That out of conference schedule isn't going to help we will need some one loss teams to jump in at title shot next year.(all based on the assumption we win out next year). And do they use our record against other teams in bowl selection. Oregon has never beat us post season and we have a great record against the Big-12 in bowls so does that factor in.
I seriously did not know Florida A&M even existed.

I strongly dislike the fact that we're playing an FCS (1-AA) opponent.
Strength of schedule will not be on our side in our Nat Championship bid. Definitely can't afford a loss in Big Ten play.
San Diego State is a pretty decent last minute addition.

Damn that's weak. Time to beef it up.
