Florida State spanks Florida (I see this happening), Notre Dame loses to USC next week(will be a tall task), Georgia tech beats Georgia (wouldn't surprise me), Alabama loses to Georgia in the SEC Championship game(possible), Florida State and South Carolina/LSU sneaks into the BCS Game, FSU beats South carolina/LSU in the national Championship(they could beat the gamecocks or tigers)....Ohio State wins the AP Title. FSU wins the BCS title

nice dream
Orrrr:
1) We build time machine.
2) We travel back to 2011.
3) We forge a document to the NCAA letting them know we forfeit last year's Gator Bowl bid.
4) Travel back to the present and buy beer to tailgate the OSU national championship.

Georgia Tech beating Georgia? Would be awesome, but I see Georgia winning easily. GT is crap this year.
I can see a chance of it happening if Notre Dame and Florida both lose next week, and then whichever SEC team makes the title game loses. Even then, it's only a slim chance.
no... cause you convieninetly forgot Oregon... here's how it has to work:
1) Ohio State beats Michigan (duh)... the bigger the win the better
2) Notre Dame loses at USC
3) Georgia beats Bama in the SECCG, goes to NCG.
4) Stanford wins out, shuts Oregon out of the Pac12 Champ game. Oregon struggles against Oregon St (don't have to lose, but a struggle would help).
5) FSU beats Florida (barely), DESTROYS Miami in the ACC Champ game. Sneaks into the BCS Champ game riding those wins.
If this happens, this would probably be the AP top 5 heading into the bowls:
1) UGA (1 loss)
2) Ohio St (undefeated)
3) FSU (1 loss)
4) Oregon (1 loss)
5) Kansas St (1 loss)
In the bowls:
-Oregon plays a pissed off KSU team in the Fiesta bowl and loses.
-FSU wins a sloppy, boring game over Georgia, wins BCS
-Nebraska beats Stanford to win the Rose Bowl
Boom, Ohio State is the AP National Champ... a fan can dream
Cause I couldn't go for three
Really, all that has to happen just to get Ohio State in the conversation. With FSU playing 2 games that Ohio State isn't eligible to play in, I think the writers will give FSU the nod still.

No way they give FSU the nod... the writers won't really think either team truly belongs there. There will be all sorts of talk about how poor the ACC was this year. The other BCS games will get more press (the ones involving Oregon, KSU, ND, LSU, ect). The BCS game would get ZERO hype because it is two teams that no one really wanted to see there. The talk would be about the slighted teams (like Oregon). Also, remember that FSU only gets into the convo by winning those games. They ahve a ton of ground to make up, and it would be a small miracle on their end just to get to the championship game.
In the end, we need a non-SEC champ with at least one loss that was ranked below the Buckeyes going into the bowl season. That is the formula.
Cause I couldn't go for three
There is no scenario in which the AP would vote OSU #1. It will not happen. Whoever wins the title game will be #1.
I tend to agree with you Buckeye. I think Ohio State will get some first place Votes if the above scenario plays out(which, it's really a stretch that it will) but 1, Ohio State has not been dominant in winning these games, and 2 they will have no conference title game or bowl game for the voters to judge the team on.
There were a couple of ways Ohio State would have a prayer at an AP title and one of them they'd have to be eligible for a bowl. First, they would have to be 12-0 and busting fools skulls all season long. They would need to have an average margin of victory of something like 4 TDS.
The other way is if there were 3 unbeatens and Ohio State went to another bowl that was not the BCS title game and they stomped a good their oponnent and there was a crappy BCS title game. In my opinion those are the only ways they would have a prayer.
Florida state will spank Florida period, Jimbo is all pumped up and has been ripping the bcs, he is hungry. Georgia Tech is terrible though they will not beat Georgia.
Simply put, no AP voter is going to vote for a team that needed OT against Purdue and Wisconsin and has tended to squeak by some pretty mediocre opponents for a good part of the year. That's the reality of the situation.
^you mean like Notre Dame?
Cause I couldn't go for three
Why, again, are we embarrassed about being 11-0? The beauty of the season is that it allows teams to eliminate themseles. Baylor? Stanford (good team) at home? We're still there with ol' Notre Dame. Go Trojans. Hell, they could be playing for Lane Kiffin's job.
Al that matters. Is beating Michigan

I think we will beat scUM and finish AP #2. However, that just sets us up for a dominating run in 2013, going wire to wire in the top 2 in the country. The real test will be the MNC.
One thing I don't think people realize is that for us to win the National Championship next season, we will have gone 26-0 over the course of 2 seasons! Thats pretty hard to do and the last time I think a team did that was Miami? I'm not saying it's impossible but very hard to do!
Highballace- have you seen our schedule next year? Not to mention everybody will be 9 months better at football, so I think they will be sitting pretty.
We don't even actually need to win the AP in my opinion. If we are the only undefeated team I'm going to crown our asses anyways. Regardless if we win the AP or not we are still going to put just a little bit of a seed of doubt in whatever team wins the BCS championship. And that's enough for me.
