Does Braxton get invited to NYC?

Looks to have the second best numbers for a qb and does not have a loss!

what do you think in or left out?

In. Brax put up great numbers this year and as you said, he didn't lose a a game.

My Heisman invite predicions:

Manzeil (aTm)

Te'o (ND)

Miller

Lee (SC)

Barner (Ore)

EDIT (I forgot) Klein (KSU)

Johnny Football wins.

Had Wisconsin and TTUN not bottled B. Miller up like they did, it would have been a no brainer. I feel like he deserves to get invited, but I won't be shocked if he doesn't. Chris Huston (aka "The Heisman Pundit") was a guest on the Dan Patrick Show today. He predicted only 3 candidates would get an invite to NYC: Manziel, Klein, and Te'o.

To me it felt like Braxton was being pushed out of the heisman talk weeks before that game against Wisconsin.

"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.

He gets invited, but OP, no Klein?

The Heisman is a joke, Johnny is a great player but had he lost to Bama wouldn't even be named here. They played three big games and won one, now the fav to win? Braxton and Klein should be the frontrunners, and had not been for the bowlban I'd believe Miller all the way. Brax carried this team until the defense got in there groove and he's being overlooked, So Johnny will probably get it, but don't feel he deserves it for winning one key game. He better at least get an invite, he has earned it.

Pay It Forward!

I'm with you. Posted this earlier, but here is how Klein and Manzeil stack up. Not sure how Braxton's stats compare.

You can't quantify hype! ;)

I think Klein should win, but I'm not optimistic. Te'o and Manziel have had their stories blown out of proportion to the point that the race doesn't seem to be about who is the best player. 3 TDs and 3 INTs vs. ranked opponents may be enough to win this year.

I'll tell you what...one thing I noticed after watching that OSU/scUM game again - Braxton is one tough cookie!

Man, is there a tougher QB out there? I don't know --- the MSU injury, the Purdue injury, the hits he took all year, that sack against scUM and he just gets right back up.

His toughness is underrated. go xBrax!

Depends on how many players they invite.

3?  No
4?  Likely
5?  Yes

Unfortunately I think he played himself out of the Heisman race during the final two games of the season. He was still a great quarterback, but let's be realistic here, he was not of heisman caliber in the Michigan or Wisconsin games, not by a long shot.

He had a teriffic season, and look out for him next year and his senior year, but even in this years weak heisman class, I think Brax is going to be left out. You can blame that on the weak conference, opposing teams cracking the code of how to contain him, and his failure to pass the "eye test" when it comes to passing. In any case, I don't see an invite coming.

I hope I'm wrong. I'd love to see him go to NYC, but I think that ship may have sailed.

This.

Still could make it, though, if 5 kids go.

It's Klein's to lose.  If he plays lights out and beats the snot out of Bevo, he wins.  I think if he plays poorly....IMO.... Te'o wins because of the whole being unbeaten playing for a title deal. I don't think Braxton can win it, but I think he deserves to be invited.

1. Klein

2. Te'o (can win if Klein has a bad outing v.s. Texas)

3. Manziel (won't get it because he's a rFR)

4. Brax  (didn't post big numbers last 2 games)

Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.

I think if they invite 3 he gets in.

Braxton has very similar numbers to Klein.

There stats are pretty close if you look at them.

Johnny, teo, and miller

Haven't compared their stats side by side, but keep in mind Kansas St. has only played 11 games so far. Their 12th game is this Saturday against Texas.

Braxton did one thing that no one else on this list did: As the leader of the offense, and the field general, he came out every single week and did what he needed to to win. That's worth a lot, regardless of SOS

Personally,I think he gets snubbed.Everyone is in love with Teo and Manzell, and talk about Klein still being in it.May only invite 3-4 and I can't see them bringing Braxton up there.Wish and hope I'm wrong.Think he deserves the invite, just because of an undefeated season, not even including his stats.

But think of the publicity they could drum up next year, with the underclassmen: Manziel vs. Miller, The Nissan (TM) Rematch.

I'm not sure if it has happened since then or not, but there were only 3 finalists in 2006: Troy Smith, Brady Quinn, and Darren McFadden.

I think Johnny Football deserves to win it this year.  He is a lot like Braxton but a better passer at this point in his career.  I think scUM is going to end up playing him in their bowl game.  That will be funny to watch.  They are going to get killed by A&M lol.

OOh..almost forgot, yes I think Braxton gets an invite to NYC.

Yes there are two Buckeyes in Ann arbor on this site!

He deserves to go to the show, but this isn't his year to win the prize.  If he lives up to expectations, which I think he will, then 2013 it is his to lose.
