First off, O-H! This is not a rant or complaint, just a 1/2 drunk observation and question about the offense.
I noticed, especially on the hand-offs to Philly that Braxton handed off the football and just stood there. He did the same when handing the ball off to El Guapo (except in OT). I admit to knowing nothing about Urban's
power zone read option spread offense (as the only time I saw the field in High School was when I was playing tuba in the marching band) but it seems that the idea is to keep the defense off balance by keeping them from keying on the ball carrier. In other games Braxton handed the ball off and carried out the play as if he still had it in his possession. It looks to me like he is trying to avoid contact by taking himself out of the play after he hands off. Now the question... Does it make any difference to the defense at all if the quarterback carries out the play after he hands off in the read-option?
