First off, O-H! This is not a rant or complaint, just a 1/2 drunk observation and question about the offense.
I noticed, especially on the hand-offs to Philly that Braxton handed off the football and just stood there. He did the same when handing the ball off to El Guapo (except in OT). I admit to knowing nothing about Urban's power zone read option spread offense (as the only time I saw the field in High School was when I was playing tuba in the marching band) but it seems that the idea is to keep the defense off balance by keeping them from keying on the ball carrier. In other games Braxton handed the ball off and carried out the play as if he still had it in his possession. It looks to me like he is trying to avoid contact by taking himself out of the play after he hands off. Now the question... Does it make any difference to the defense at all if the quarterback carries out the play after he hands off in the read-option?

Hyde averaged almost 6 yards a carry. He certainly couldn't have hurt it very much.

Braxton's play hurt Braxton... Not being negative, just want to state the obvious, he has not progressed as a passer as much as expected thru this year. Urban has said several times that he felt the passing game would have been further along... but it is hard to complain much about Braxton's QB play...however, we can't just assume he's ever going to become a really solid passer. scUM kept talking about how Nard was getting better and would be a solid passer his Jr and Sr years but it just didn't happen. Hope Braxton learns to get thru his progressions quicker and pulls the trigger more.

Yeah this thread threw me... Carlos was the only consistent part of our offense the entire game. Not sure why they didn't feed him more and continue with the swing passes. Both were effective.
Yeah brax had a bad day. His reads were awful and he held on to the ball too long, too many times. Even when he was obviously going to be sacked he held onto the ball instead of tossing it out of bounds. That being said, I still have a ton of faith in him becoming a better passer, and chalk this up to being a bad day. I think (and hope) he will be fired up and will have a much better day next week against SCUM. He's carried this team on his back to 11-0
Careful got a downvote for questioning repetetive play calling and braxtons decision making.
Love this teams heart, but three things were obvious:
Hermans worst game play calling
Braxton made some really bad decisions which isnt good this late
The D has matured into a machine.
I give Wisky credit for defending Braxton the way they did. This, I believe, got Braxton a little frustrated and caused him to make poor reads.
Brax def had a horrible day and he probably did hold back El Guapo by missing on alot of his reads and pulling it out instead of letting Carlos keep it. Even though Brax had alot of brain farts we still found a way to win. Games lke this give me grey hairs but now ive officially turned my attention to scUM and all I care about is cleanng up the shitty play and sending Detard home with his tail tucked between his legs...
Brax didn't have a great day but he did enough to not lose the game and we're 11-0 with a chance (and a pretty damn good one) to go 12-0. I'm happy as can be and can't wait to see those eating references come back to haunt Detard...it just may.

Can someone please tell me who this El Guapo guy is?? Where did this nickname come from? I am on this site every day and I have NEVER heard it mentioined b4 today. lol
Yes there are two Buckeyes in Ann arbor on this site!
Hyde rolls for well over 100 yds with just a few more touch's. I'll be honest, I was screaming for him to just grab the ball from Braxton and run it. I'm glad it's over, and Michiscum sucks. 11-0 is a great feeling. Oh and by the way, Michiscum sucks.
