Does that mean Jabba is next to get the axe?

Is Green still interested in Clemson? If he is, hopefully their Offensive Coordinator Chad Morris doesn't leave for a Head Coaching job. I would hate to see Green end up at TSUN.

Yeah if UM had a legit RB on Saturday with the mistakes that we made all game, they probably would've won

Urban_Can_Recruit's picture
Urban_Can_Recruit on 28 Nov 2012 - 12:08am #

I don't know if any RB was going to run over our defense in that second half they were playing posessed.

not taking away from the D, but when play calls are that predictable, they're easy to stop

That's tough to argue seeing as we really only gave up two big plays and one of them was a freak occurrence. In addition this would have kept Denard off the field more... basically their O-line got poned all game except for two huge plays.

buck-I.8's picture
buck-I.8 on 28 Nov 2012 - 12:11am #

Yeah, so for example, when Denard didn't even try to block Shazier, who came in for a sack, that doesn't happen with an actual RB.

And with Conley leaving that opens up a spot I see Green and Treadwell to finish their class I know I don't want to see this but this is what I think might just happen Screw Blue

You would think that with the OL classes Michigan has brought in the last two years, with an offensive core of Shane Morris, Derrick Green and Laquon Treadwell implemented into the Pro-style Offense they want to run, they could be a very formidable offense in a couple of years.

I'm not worried about how OSU will do playing against them with the defensive recruits we've gotten in the last 2 classes, but I'd still really rather not see them get Green and Treadwell haha.

It don't matter who they end up with, they will still be michigan, and they will still suck balls.. Besides Brady hoke eats 8 meals a day with a snack in between sooo..

Some updates as I've heard them:

---Michigan Coaches visited Derrick Green last night; Miami was "supposed" to, but didn't show
Says he could be deciding soon

---Michigan coaches supposedly paid Ty Isaac a visit at his school, although haven't heard any comments of him decommitting from USC

---Treadwell apparently has Michigan behind other schools now; ND, OKL, OK St, Ole Miss are in play

---Leon McQuay seems to be about 50/50 and if Michigan gets him, Conley won't sting as much (or at all)

To be fair, Green has said he "may be deciding soon" for about a year.

I find his recruitment less annoying now, because we're not involved, but man does he love attention.

I imagine TTUN is with Ty Isaac simply because of the doubt surrounding Lane Kiffin. If Kiffin were to go, TTUN wants to be there to capitalize. I doubt Isaac decommits unless Kiffin is canned.

Very surprising about your thoughts on Treadwell.. He seemed such a TTUN lock for a long time now.

Green is such an interesting case. He had great initial offers, but sat around and watched as most top schools received RB commitments from other guys. So now, OSU, Bama, Oklahoma, etc. have all moved on from him. I like the kid very much, but I think he truly believed all of these schools would sit around until signing day waiting for him. He is a very good player, but it's not like he's Adrian Peterson coming out of high school.

One thing is for sure as others have said -- Green has the opportunity for a LOT of playing time at Michigan if he goes there.

Green reminds me of Jordon Diamond out of a Chicago who went to Auburn.

I would bet on Green to Clemson or UM.

chromedomebuck's picture

Michigan is my bet...Adds to the rivalry if Green commits to UM. Would be a fun individual aspect (Green has added motivation after OSU stopped recruiting him) to add to an already storied rivalry.

Good luck running against the D-Line and LBs we have brought in though! I would not want to be an opposing QB or RB having to take hits from those guys every play. The talent OSU is bringing in on the defensive side of the ball is amazing.

I don't think Treadwell will go to UM though...I'm gonna say Oklahoma State for him. But if Michigan gets him too then kudos to them for a great offensive recruiting class.

The B1G needs as many strong teams as they can get. Need 3-4 reliable teams each year. Two of them need to always be OSU and UM. So competition like this (recruiting battles, close games, etc.) is a good thing in my opinion.

I personally think Michigan's class ends with Green and maybe 1 or 2 more back up players. I see McQuay going to USC, maybe Oregon, and Treadwell heading either to Ok St as mentioned or to the SEC

Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite

Don't really care where Green goes!! Has dragged out his comittment so long,we all may be collecting social security before he decides on a school. Glad to see MOST high profile schools moved on.Shows to other recruits, you can't handcuff a school or they'll just go with plans B,C,or D.
