Just saw a Heisman commercial about the presentation broadcast, had highlights of Braxton in it. Maybe ive been living under a rock but does he have an invite to NYC for Manziel's ceremony?

As far as I know it hasn't been anounced yet. They're putting his highlights in there (along with other people that they figure might make it) as a way to drum up the hype.
How many get invited? I thought it was 3. If so:
1. Manziel
2. Tao
3. Klein

Damn Jason, you are a down vote magnet.....lol.
As far as how many go to the ceremony, I recall as many as 4 players in years past. Sometimes 3, sometimes 4, just depends.
It's probably because i keeps a private Jet.

A maximum of 5 can be invited to the ceremony, and that is often the case, inlcuding last year with Ball, RGIII, Richardson, Luck, and Mathieu.

Storm Klein?
;)
They usually invite more than 3. I remember one time when they invited only 3 - I believe it was 2005 - Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, and Vince Young.
If it is only 3, then I agree with the 3 you have listed. I believe I said on another thread that they need to invite at least 4 for Braxton to get an invite.
Class of 2010.
I thought I read somewhere that this year their could be up to 5.
In my opinion he needs to be in the top three in voting to get the invite because they won't invite just two. My money says he'll get the same treatment as all-things OSU this season - if he ends 4th in voting they'll only invite three this season (even though they've recently done up to five, as Jake said).
Isn't there a percentage of the vote you get to get an invite? I'll be back, I'm Googling it.
Best I could do, from HeismanPundit:

Think it should just be 3... Teo, Klein, and Manziel... although Lee and Braxton deserve it IMO, I dont see how they could possibly threaten the other three for the Heisman... ESPN has been pushing Teo and Manziel to the max, so IMO, its pointless for Braxton to get the invite, but it would be a nice experience for him if he gets invited... get that taste to have a bigger year next season
does anyone know when the announcements maybe?
Capn, Make It So...
as early as Sunday. Probably when they announce the bowl matchups. The winner is announced on Saturday the 8th.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

Manziel will win, but it'll piss me off. The beginning of his season sucked. The only reason he has gotten this much hype is because they beat Bama. His numbers against ranked teams are not as good as Klein's, plus Klein only had 1 down game, not multiple. Manziel has feasted on crappy teams, too. Padding stats against junk defenses.

"The only reason he has gotten this much hype is because they beat Bama."
1. He had hype before the bama game, bama was their 10th game of the season.
2. Manziel faced defenses that were much more stout than Klien did.
3. He deserves recognition for leading his team in a win against the #1 ranked team country at the time.
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization."
He also has something like 80% of his yards and TDs against teams with losing records. He's probably deserving, but only because there are no REALLY deserving candidates this year.
Isn't that the truth, at the begining i really thought Geno Smith had a great shot, but that didn't work out.

An argument could also be made that Klein played in a conference full of poor defenses. Virtually every game turned into a shootout in that conference, and the main reason K-State ended with such a good record is they actually have a competent defense.
Manziel will win because he put up insane numbers while being affiliated with the SEC, which is known for its tough defenses (whether factual or not). He really struggled against LSU, had a tough second half against Florida, put up "stellar" numbers against Alabama (compared to majority of other QB's they've faced - though the skill level of most QB's they've faced is pretty paltry).
Otherwise, let's look at the defenses he faced this season:
Not exactly a murderer's row, otherwise. But, what he did overall this year is better than what anyone else did. Braxton put up very solid, if not spectacular, numbers against some pretty solid defenses overall, and led his team to victory each week. I'd say that should count for something when you look at the top 3/4 Heisman candidates. At this point, I'd say he deserves an invite, if only to finish a distant 3rd/4th in the voting.

Braxton should def be invited if its 4 or 5.

Ballots from voters do not have to be turned in until Monday.
We won't know who is invited until next week.
