Based on the fact that we signed 2 RB's last year...that's the argument? Well by that logic no recruit would ever sign at a school unless they were empty at a position. Strong argument [sarcasm font].
Of course he's going to have to carve out his own niche! He's got tough sledding ahead of him, we have a ton of RB's coming back: Hyde, Hall, Smith, Dunn, Ball, now Zeke. The cream rises to the top, and he obviously doesn't mind competition. He also brings something none of the guys on the roster has in terms of his style (depending on how Ball plays, never seen him).
When told OSU set school record for 50+ games this year, UFM said "That's good. We're gonna break that next year."
The way I see it, Zeke will play a similar role as Jordan Hall. He'll still get some runs, but he'll likely catch the ball quite a bit too. Zeke is fast (4.42 electronic timed at The Opening) and shifty, and I agree he will be a perfect fit for this Offense. In other words, he's exactly the type of playmaker Urban has said he's needed for quite a while now.
It says that it might be a mistake if Urban continues running the power spread he used this year with Hyde with Dunn, Ball in future years. I disagree because Urban has already shown he can run the finess spread. More importantly, he has shown that he has no issue with two backs in the backfield if they are of the 11 best. I see Elliot as a lighting to our thunder type back where we can run our version of the triple option
I don't know why everyone assumes that because ______ is the way Urban once did things, that _______ is the way he will always do things. The reason he's a great coach is because he's willing to evolve a bit. Carlos Hyde was excellent in "Urban Meyer's Spread Offense" last year, so I don't see why someone like Zeke won't fit in in his own way.
He is in the right offense for his skillset and will be utilized properly (and often) if he works hard and can demonstrate he deserves to be on the field which I have no doubt he will do.
Who are these jokers to decide what school is right for these kids? It's not just who's ahead of you on a depth chart. How about the relationship with the staff, feel for the campus, education, proximity to home, ect? All these factors play a role in deciding where an 18 yo kid wants to spend the next four years of their lives.
Stopped reading BR long ago because their journalism (if you can call it that) is terrible. Once I found 11W, I never went back (or anywhere else for that matter).
anyone that wants to can be a writer for bleacher report.... remember that movie little giants when they were recruiting ppl for a football team this is what bleacher report is with writers...
Bleacher Report makes Sports By Brooks look like cutting edge journalism. These national blogs are usually junk. Definitely makes me appreciate the quality of work the 11W crew puts out.
I guess referencing the fact that 11W had an April Fools joke 2 or 3 years ago making the website look like B/R, THEN doing a really bad internet Dangerfield is enough to get a down vote. HAHA.

I read that article yesturday and I am still laughing today. Zeke is a perfect fit for the offense.
It's good to be home.

When you present articles in slideshow format, your argument is invalid.
The Ohio State University, College of Arts & Sciences, Class of 2006
The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, Class of 2009
A slide show argument, you say?
Up vote for you, good sir...
Tom Crean listens to Nickelback...
Percy Harvin role... Not a between the tackles guy... He will be great in our offense.
Nothing against Percy Harvin, but I'm really looking forward to the day when we refer to that position as the "[insert name of Buckeye great] role"
^ So much this!
It will either be Jalin Marshall, Zeke Elliott, or Jalen Hurd...
Can you imagine what Tedd Ginn or Chris Gamble could have done in this offense? Those are the names I refer too, not PH.
Let your hobbies and interests supplement your life, not be the main course.
Hopefully its referred as that "Ezekiel Elliott" role from here on out! Kid is gonna be special!
Bleacher Report is worthless. I feel dumber for reading that dude's opinion about Elliot.
B/R all about page views, not journalistic integrity. Agreed
Still has more integrity than the WWL.
/Duff'd It
so this??
~Because we couldn't go for three~
There's a reason Weathersby is writing for Bleacher Report and is no longer a scout or talent evaluator...
That article is Bs. Elliot enjoys coming to Osu games. Elliot and Marshall have become very good friends.
i too feel like i just wated 15 seconds of my life that will never be returned. smh.

I can't believe that website still exists. It crashes my laptop everytime I used to go on it with pop ups and ads.
Stoped reading after bleacher report. But seriously who would have though a site that's format allows any crackpot to post a crazy story would work?
I find that B/R is more often opinion-based rather than fact-based and have stopped reading it as a result. These guys could use a reality check.
Not going to read it. Because the only opinion that matters is zekes. And he chose ohio state. And he hasn't wavered on that. Good enough for me.

This guy. Shower him with awards.
This article on Bleacher Reports can suck a nut! I'll take Urban's football IQ over some dude at Bleacher Report.
Says the website that has Ohio State rated #6
anyone that wants to can be a writer for bleacher report.... remember that movie little giants when they were recruiting ppl for a football team this is what bleacher report is with writers...

Where was Elliot suppose to school Missouri .

I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.
Some one butt hurt because of him coming to Ohio State?
The only thing B/R is good for is to afford 11W the ability to have a well made April fools joke.

Nobody?? Tough crowd *adjusts tie*
