I was checking out ESPN's bowl predictions and they are not pretty. I don't expect the BIG to save face this off season. They have NEB vs. Stanford, scUM vs. Texas A&M, MSU vs. TCU, Wisconsin vs Miss St, and Northwestern vs South Carolina. I think the best match up is the Wisconsin game. We can only hope some of our conference brethren can pull some wins out. OSU needs the help because our 2013 schedule is even weaker then this year with the replacements of Nebraska and MSU with Northwestern and Minnesota. These are subject to change but it could very well be a very poor bowl season for the conference...... again.

No way NW beats USC, but all of the other matchups seems winnable.
lol i guess thats why your name is Optimistic Buck
Texas A&M will get into an offensive batte with UM, this plays into UM's hands. Look up how many points A&M gives up. Dare I overgeneralize, but I think all people think of A&M as this Bama-slayer, but they are a team that gives up a lot of points and with a decent offense. UM's defense is not that bad and they will score points on A&M if Robinson is healthy by then.
Stanford resembles a B1G team, much like Wisconsin. Nebraska beat Wisconsin, but will have to get their offense going against Stanford.
MSU has a great defense and B1G teams fair very well against the offensive minded Big 12 teams. In addition, MSU's offense will have extra practice time allowing them to get healthy and work on a passing game. Maxwell is a good QB so watch out for him.
Wisconsin plays Miss St who has beaten absolutely nobody. Wisconsin will be too physical for these guys.
NW will struggle because they have no defense and USC does. USC will score points and NW won't.
Nebraska got beat by UCLA which Stanford put it on them last weekend. Wisconsin cannot throw the football period unless their QB gets healthy. I do agree that MSU's defense can win them that game. I personally just dont feel confident about any of those matchups. All nonconference games at the start of the season gave me no reason to. I hope I'm wrong though. ANd an offensive battle with scum? did you see their offense saturday? If you stop denard running you stopped their offense.
NEB got beat by UCLA because they couldn't stop the run. It took NEB a while to get their defense figured out, but I think they're doing OK now. Remember how we ran all over NEB? I think they have figured it out on defense. Plus, NEB's offense, if it gets going and Burkhead is healthy, will be tough for Stanford to defend - it's more mulit dimensional than they've seen this year. Stanford is a good team, but they are very similar to B1G teams.
UM has literally no chance against Johnny Football
Welp, cancel that game then...
There's always a chance.

You are correct, that is why I will only be placing 30 points on Johnny in the Bowl Pool this year instead of 35.
See, now here's a man of reason!

From those matchups, Nebraska, MSU, Wisky, and Northwestern all seem ok. Northwestern only because Lattimore is out, and they can put up some points.
MSU matches up ok, Nebraska only has 2 road losses to top 25 teams, and Wisky is physical enough for anyone and creates problems for bowl games
I honestly have little to no faith the B1G can win any of those predicted bowl games. Has a conference ever gone 0-fer in a bowl season?
Aside from NW and UM, I'm very confident for the B1G with those matchups.

Does anyone think Wisky matches up better with Stanford and Nebraska matches up better with the SEC teams?
I can easily see the BIG losing every bowl game this season. That is all.
Yes there are two Buckeyes in Ann arbor on this site!
The B1G is going to lose all their bowls.
Good thing I root for a team and not a conference. If this shoe were on the SEC foot, they'd be killing themselves down there.
I don't really care for the conference but the fact is how these teams play has a direct impact on our national perception. Hints why were ranked behind multiple 1 loss teams in the AP, and if we eligible we would be 5th or 6th in the BCS.
Don't know/care who wins those games, but they look like some pretty entertaining match-ups.
Not that it matters, but Minnesota is not on our schedule for next year. We drop Neb and MSU for NW and Iowa, not Minnesota.
I used to be a big conference supporter, but I've found that since we keep diluting it by expansion, I no longer care how the conference as a whole grades out. As long as we are being coached by a top flight coaching staff, we'll have a chance to run the table and make the playoff. As long as we take the next step in terms of recruiting and developing our talent to be able to compete with the SEC (UFM is already doing work, I'm optimistic), I could care less how crappy the rest of the conference is.
When told OSU set school record for 50+ games this year, UFM said "That's good. We're gonna break that next year."
@OSUBIAS,
I also used to support B1G teams in their bowls until I realized all the hate and spite there is for OSU around the B1G. Instead of respect for what OSU has accomplished, there's just a bunch of whining about cheating, complaints about OSU fans being classless, stupid, arrogant --really, just pick your negative adjective here, and of course the ubiquitous O$U. This year I'll root for Nebraska (still like them) and NW (I live in Chicago). The rest of the B1G can suck it!
