Just curious if you Buckeyes are rooting for Nebraska to win out so Michigan has no chance of making it to the B1GCG or do you hope they lose once so Michigan's fate is [likely] determined in Columbus on the 24th?
And "I hope Michigan loses to NW and Iowa" is not a choice...that's a given.

My first instinct is to say not after they interupted script ohio (among other dbag moves during the game like running half their team through OSU running onto the field).
However, if they are the ONLY team that has a chance of keeping UM out of it, then I suppose I can swallow my disgust with what they did and give them a half-hearted cheer. I'm still going to root for Indiana as the spoiler in the whole thing :) Is that still possible or did they need someone to lose this weekend that didn't?
You can kill a fly with your slipper or a cannon. Either way, the fly dies. -Ramzy
I still think they're the B1G's only hope in a BCS bowl so yes I want them to win out.
Don't much care in either way, but I would like to see UM's fate dangling in the balance when they come to Columbus--I just can't actively root for it to happen haha--even if it means they play that much better. I want Michigan's best game, and I have faith that OSU will bring their best, as well.
Yes, I am pulling for them. At this point in time, I just don't want to see the conference get embarrassed anymore than it already has been, and when the rose bowl comes around, I think they're the only ones with a shot at winning it. Aside of that, they play in the same division as TSUN. Also, I respect their tradition and fan base, and I thought the series we played them in (2011,2012) was enjoyable.
Basically I'm saying, I don't have a reason to hate them.
Seeing as we're ineligible, I wouldn't mind The Huskers winning the B1G because they're coached by a former Buckeye. Dantonio seemed to turn on us.
"It's just another case of there you are". ~ Doc (1918-2012)
Could there be a more fitting end to this BIG train wreck, than having NW v Indiana in Indianapolis. It will never, ever come this close to happening again. I am compelled to want this to happen, like a moth can't resist the light. However; I do hope that it takes a Buckeye win over TTUN to send Northwestern to Indy.
UW will likely secure their spot next week. What are the implications in the other division next week? Could it be decided?

I would assume most osu fans are like Michigan fans where I (a Michigan fan) want ohio state to go into The Game undefeated, so we can ruin their perfect season. Or in this case, ohio state fans would want to be the team that ruins Michigan's B1G title chances.
Not here to troll...Go Blue
Nebraska is hard to root for because Pelini is such a weenie, but if it will keep AACC out of Indy then yeah. Go corn people!
It would be incredible for TTUN needing a win against us in order to go to the B1G championship.. and then we can embarrass them and go 12-0!!!
@hail I think you know who Im rooting for
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Yes. Screw tsun.
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
@Xtreme...yes, I know none of you want Michigan to go to Indy. I was just curious to see if you had a preference of spoiling Michigan's season, directly, or just seeing Nebraska win out was good enough.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

I'll be honest, I want to see tsun come into The Game on a 2 game losing streak.
I don't want Um playing in Indy. Whatever has to happen in order to accomplish that, than I'm all for it. I think Um could actually lose a game prior to The Game.
If UM ends up 6-6 after regular season play, reading mgoblog throughout the offseason is gonna be delightful. Recruits will leave/lose interest, fans will cry, the national brand will suffer, and I will cackle with delight
OSU has dominated the B1G throughout the BCS era. The yearly beatings have left their mark, an ugly scar of envy across the face of the rest of the conference. Consequently, the fan base of each school, as my michigan neighbor says, is "saving the hate for Ohio State." Living in Chicago, the vitriol becomes clear even in casual conversations I might have with a neighbor or co-worker. If a person is inclined to witness the hate remotely, visit any of the B1G fan sites and look for threads with O$U in the title. Nebraska has their own proud tradition, and was not a part of the B1G for those years, and therefore their fans are not a horde of whiny douchebags. So, yes, I'm rooting for Nebraska.
I thought Michigan was "back"??
-The Aristocrats!
According to ESPN I should be rooting for Nebraska and Indiana this weekend. I think I'll take their advice.
Rebuttal to this. I hope Michigan only loses to Northwestern. Don't look now but Northwestern is due for their annual upset.

Ohio State's band SLAUGHTERED Michigan's band. If this were a football game, it would have been Florida State vs. Savannah State. - SB Nation following OSU vs. UM 2012
Give me Nebraska in the B1G title game. I'm not pulling for them to get another loss, but if Ohio State can spoil Michigan's trip to Indy, that's even better!
BME, is it really an upset if Northwestern beats a team they are ranked ahead of?
The greatest image you can see in Ohio Stadium is Brutus holding a rose because we're stamping our ticket to Pasadena by beating Michigan. The second greatest image you can see in Ohio Stadium is Brutus ripping up roses because we ruined Michigan's New Years plans.
If Ohio State and Michigan are meeting on the field as the last stand in the hopes of keeping their conference crown in play, there really isn't anything greater in all of sports. I am absolutely rooting for Michigan to be playing for their division crown. The Leaders representative is going to be the leftover Thanksgiving turkey, and you can basically start engraving the Legends' winner's name on the 2012 B1G trophy and buying them Disneyland tickets.
(P.S. I have searched far and wide into the depths of the interwebs and I can't find a picture or video of Brutus doing the latter. But I know I've seen it somewhere.)
eh, as long as the buckeyes go 12-0, i could care less about who gets there. Because in the back of there minds, both teams know we would be there, and would beat them.
I couldn't care less about what any other Big Ten teams do the rest of this year, but I think the rest of the Big Ten definitely should be cheering for Nebraska. Imagine how much worse the conference would look if Ohio State is its only 10-win team this season. I would love to see that happen though, I just don't care about the rest of the Big Ten at all. They can continue ruining the reputation of the conference while Ohio State keeps winning it.
Also, Oklahoma-Nebraska would actually be a pretty cool Rose Bowl.
I'm cheering for the Huskers to win out. Probably the classiest fan base in the conference, maybe in the country. If I had to pick one team to cheer for in the B1G besides the Buckeyes, it would be Nebraska hands down.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Agreed, definitely pulling for Nebraska. If it comes down to our game against ttun and we win, that would be icing. But I would rather Nebraska just win out and avoid any possiblity of ttun winning the B1G in a year we don't have a shot. If we had a shot, I would be more okay with it because then I would feel as if we had our chance to stop them. Well this year, we can't go the championship game, so I don't want ttun there either. The Hoosiers would be hilarious though too. Big game in Bloomington this weekend!!

While NW is ranked and UM is not, lets take a look to see who has more to lose in this game...
Northwestern: If they lose this game not much can be said about the lost. Sure they would lose their chance to win the Legends, a Rose Bowl berth but they are still going to a bowl game. NW can't likely go to an at large BCS title game because their remaining competition isn't ranked and for the RB they would need for Nebraska to lose twice. Chances of that happening are very slim.
Michigan: If Michigan loses this game, not only will it be a huge disappointment in the Big House but their season will effectively be over. Michigan could win out and likely get up to number #14 in the BCS polls after beating an undefeated Ohio State (assuming we win against UW). Moreover, should Nebraska lose a game, they could go to Indy for a shot at the rose bowl. However, if Michigan loses after being favored to win No Rose Bowl, No At Large BCS Bowl and they will be relegated to an SEC bowl game to be crushed...
So within 60 minutes of the game this week, if Michigan is on the losing side it would be a huge upset. Upsets aren't always dictated by ranked opposition. You might terms this spoiler but I prefer to say upset.
Ohio State's band SLAUGHTERED Michigan's band. If this were a football game, it would have been Florida State vs. Savannah State. - SB Nation following OSU vs. UM 2012
I'm pulling for the Huskers because I think it would look terrible for the B1G (and ultimately the Buckeyes) if Nebraska looses and drops out of the top 25. Plus, we can say that we hung 63 points on the eventual champs, which is pretty cool
I also think that it doesn't matter if UM is 11-0 or 0-11 when facing the Buckeyes. A loss to the Buckeyes ALWAYS spoils their season.
Go Bucks!!!
I am perfectly GREAT with Nebraska winning. If (IF) we were to lose to UM, the only silver lining I might have is UM not going to Indy. I get the whole "spoiling" UM's season, but I would rather them be deflated coming into the Shoe and have us pound on them and make them even sadder.
On one hand I don't want michigan to have a shot at going to rosé bowl. On the other hand, it would be a lot of fun watching Oregon beat them by 50.
@BME I would bet one year's pay that no B1G team will be receiving an at large BCS berth this year.
It's Rosebowl or bust, and like you mentioned, the bust will likely be Florida, LSU, Georgia or South Carolina. If the stars align, I think I hope we get USC or Oregon State in Pasadena. Otherwise, it might get ugly in the south, come January.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!
~Bo Schembechler
If Ohio State doesnt win it I could care less who does personally. Whoever does win it just has an asterisk by it in my book anyways.
Yes, I am rooting for Nebraska. Hope Michigan loses every game they play.
Nebraska is sitting at 16 in the bcs now I believe. If they can win out and win the Rose bowl they probably finish in the top 10 along with OSU if we win out, somewhat salvaging an otherwise terrible year for the conference. Finishing with two top 10 teams would help the B1Gs perception going into next year which we will need for a run at the title so to answer your question yes I will be rooting for Nebraska. Just my 2 cents.
Im rooting for them because the higher they are ranked the better our beat down on them looks.
I'd rather see Nebraska win out and win the Rose Bowl to give credence to our beat down on them. That also sets up the stage and gives a little more credence to our 2012 win over Nebraska in 2013 when we go for the championship!
I will root for Nebraska. Oh $#it, I just puked in my mouth!!
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
It really doesn't matter since they have the tiebreaker and you still have to play us. Not really pulling for either side, the whole Nebraska second year in the big ten already winning it thing would be annoying though.
