I would just like to say that Alabama went down and 3 undeafeated teams left in the BCS. I feel bad that Ohio State has a bowl ban this year because i think beating a non SEC team ( if ranked #1 or #2) would be so much easier this year. And in the coming year Alabama LSU, Florida, and Texas A&M are all going to be stronger. I wish we would have used our bowl ban last year and played against an easy win.

Nah, when we go to the champ game I want to face an SEC team. Prove to the world that SEC monkey is gone. No tattoo scandal players, no easy opponent, just flat out take it.
I agree that I want us to play an SEC team when we win it all. Plus in all honestly, I'm not sure we are good enough to compete at the very top this season. We have some glaring holes in our team that we still have to coach up. I don't think we could handle A&M let alone Oregon or Alabam just yet.
Yes there are two Buckeyes in Ann arbor on this site!

A&M will revert to form soon enough. They are not going to be an elite team year in and year out. Especially once Texas replaces Mack Brown and gets a top notch guy in there. A&M isn't really and truly even elite this year.
I don't know, I think AM is on the way up given that Manziel is only a RS Fresh. They have 2 losses, by 3 to Florida and 5 to LSU. Otherwise they'd be undefeated and most likely #1. Playing in the SEC and being from the hotbed for recruits that is Texas, I think AM will be a consistant threat in the SEC.
PS here's to hoping Oregon loses the Civil War, ND goes down to USC and KSU loses to either Baylor or Texas. Leaving those Bucks the lone unbeaten!
All very true, Kareem. Manziel is good, but I'm not sure he can take A&M to elite status. QB Jerrod Johnson looked as good or even better his first year starting at A&M and proceeded to re-write most A&M single season and career QB records. But he still was replaced his senior season by a backup QB named Ryan Tannhill. I'll believe the Manziel hype if he continues to perform at this level for another 2 years.
As for recruiting, more elite recruits in Texas go to UT, OU, and LSU than they do to A&M. That could change eventually, but it won't overnight.
Eh, but who really cares about A&M? This is all just filler b/c OSU was off this week! What are we going to after the Mich game? It will seem like the longest off-season EVER.
That's true, but that backup ended up being a 1st round pick and rookie starter. Manziel won't get replaced. The dude is a machine! He's a fresh. and constantly putting up these stats, he'll only get better. At least he started his career off in a good offense unlike Miller. Miller could have put up much more impressive stats last year had he 1. started the whole season and 2. was in good ol' Urbans offense.
But w/ all that said... I still gotta go with my man B Miller! Wouldn't take any other QB. I love watching him make the plays he does every week.
It's kind of my hope that Ohio State ends up the lone unbeaten team in America. Not for the AP title because that ship has sailed, but just because we can always say well hell we were undefeated! If people say yeah but you weren't that good etc, we could still say YEAH BUT WE WERE UNDEFEATED lol. There are a lot of good teams with schedules that aren't that great that failed to get to 12-0.
A&M loses alot of players after this season so its not like its a guarantee that they are going to be elite next year. Plus recruiting in Texas is almost slim pickings for them after Texas gets what they want. Im pumped for next year to see what these boys can do because they should be nasty with another year under their belt.
The sate of Ohio isn't 'slim pickins' after OSU gets what they want. Traditionally, Michigan gets OSU's leftovers and they have the winningest program in college football. The point I'm trying to make is that Ohio is a hotbed for H.S. football talent and while OSU will get its fill on the elite players, there are many, many equally talented players in-state who end up playing for Michigan, PSU, MSU, Wisconsin, and many other major programs in the country. The state of Texas, by comparison has probably twice the amount of blue chippers and high level recruits that Ohio does and UT and OU will get the majority of them but LSU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma ST., and many other top notch schools across the country recruit and snag alot of this fertile talent out of Texas (including the Buckeyes). A&M and their coach look like a player in the SEC and will sonn be putting alot of (SEC) teams on their ass and alot of coaches out of work.
"Get him a body bag, Yeah!"
Good year for OSU to go undefeated, talk about wht could have been, but don't have to be mocked for blowing it in a huge bowl game because of the Big Ten's down year.
