Go Buckeyes!
That is a great story. Thanks for sharing. Kudos to tOSU staff and Chris Fields, if he had a choice, for making this happen.
Great story. I hope "The Journey" picks up on this.
They Could have chosen a better pic of the kid though, maybe actually wearing the jersey?
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
That is a nice story. Good to see compliance didn't deny the request.
We should strive to keep thy name, of fair repute and spotless fame...
(Also, I'm not a dude)
awesome. Awesome story.
That is truly a great story. Glad compliance cleared it for such a good cause.
I just came on to post this myself. Such a great story all around. Happy for him and glad that people worked so hard to get this to go through. Yet another reason I am proud to be a Buckeye!

so happy for the kid
love stories like this
You know, stories like this are not talked about often enough when it comes to sports. We hear all the time about contracts, TV deals, sanctions, players acting up etc, but we dont' just don't get to enjoy the impact sports can have on people. This was a minor gesture made by Ohio State, but it made this kid's year.
Stories like that always get me in the old ticker. I'm a sucker for ESPN's My Wish segments and I remember a couple of stories where JT wrote letters of encouragement to fans who were doing poorly in school or sick in the hospital.
Anyway, if you enjoy these sort of feel good stories, here's one that I loved from this summer. I was proud to be a Reds fan after reading this one.

I upvoted everyone on here! Great story and its much too rare these days! Sad the politics of the sport we love has to be apart of this despite approval. I just can't get over that it may or may not be a compliance issue to lend gear to a kid like this.
