Midwest Scout (247) Steve Wiltfong made a trip this week to Paramus (NJ) Catholic, the High School of 2014 5 Star DB Jabrill Peppers. This will most likely be included in Gene's Quick Bits later, but I thought it was important enough to discuss individually, as this is the 3rd guy out of next year's top 10 to express serious interest in OSU:
Highlights:
- Says OSU and Stanford are recruiting him the hardest, and will visit both next spring. (He is an excellent student)
- Also is interested in ND, UM, Rutgers, and some others.
The article and forum aren't paywalled, so here's the link to the full report: http://247sports.com/Article/247Sports-Visits-The-Paramus-Catholic-Football-Program-101270

Looks good to me. Wish this kid was comming to "The Game". Go Bucks!
Would love to see this kid in Scarlet and Grey, its great to see the 2014 big boys who have OSU high on there boards. Hopefully the staff can pull a #1 class!
Pay It Forward!
@Remington- according to the visitors list there is a huge possibility.

#Buckeyes
I think he released a top 10 awhile back and we were 5th on the list with stanford being the leader, lot of time left to go with this guy though.
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
scUM wants peppers BAD, would love to keep him and Malik McDowell away them
nice i got a lot of respect for the players that actually care about learning too
they understand that a college education just might come in handy some day, i.e. after the pros or if they don't make the pros
I love how Urban goes after all the big dawgs aggressively!
Great news love we're going after the best of the best and in their top schools
My #2 prospect for 2014 behind Hand....love love love this kid
Seems like the staff has made up some ground in the last couple of months.
Alex, Peppers seems like a Myron Rolle (FSU commit years back) ultra athletic and very intelligent do you think this could end up being a Stanford/tOSU battle in the end? Also, is he CB or S seems like hes got the size for both.
I wonder having too many recruits at a time may have negatives as well,
like not being able to give out individual attentions.
We haven't seemed to do too well with the east coast dudes so far under Urban. Pulling in Eli Woodard was big but we also struck out on several others. If Peppers is as good as Alex says, I really hope we get him and start turning the tide on NJ, MD, DC, Philly, etc. and make that our Eastern Front with PSU likely out of the running for a few more yrs.
"Get him a body bag, Yeah!"
