Does the SEC team still make the BCS Championship game? Thoughts?
I think they would jump ND (no conference championship, so they'd be 12-0 vs. 13-1 and I think SEC would get the edge), but I don't think they'd jump a 13-0 Oregon and 13-0 KState combo.

No. A one loss would not jump any undefeated teams when you have that top 3. You wont have to worry about that because Bama will be the team in the NC. But if they were to lose, as long as the others go undefeated that would be it for them. And the voters would put ND in with 12 games over the SEC champ who has 1 loss.
No, it wouldn't happen no matter what. Remember last year that Alabama jumped a 1-loss team by only .009 points in the BCS. It doesn't matter what the voters do, the computers would make it mathematically impossible for a 1-loss team to jump an undefeated ND, Oregon or KSU. Like he said above, it won't matter anyway. Alabama is going undefeated.
I can't see ND beating Alabama, but they said that about OSU-Miami too so who knows. However, I could see them getting beat by one of the top teams and if anyone outside of the SEC wins it this year I think I'll be happy.
I'd just like to say that the premise of this thread seemed much more likely when I first posted it (LSU 3 - 0 Alabama) haha. But you never know!
I can tell you right now that after watching the Oregon/USC game that I have no interest in watching that travesty of a defense play Bama for the NC at all.
^ Alabama's offensive line would devour Oregon's sorry excuse of a front 7. Unfortunately, I think most of the voters are just going to see "DAMN! Oregon scored 62!! They must be good!"
@VHX7 I disagree, Alabama might get their yards but Oregon can score on anyone they have put huge yards up on multiple sec defenses the past few years. Alabama might end up getting huge runs in that game but I think they would have to score about every time.
Yeah, unfortunately I'd see an Alabama-Oregon BCS Championship going much the same way as the LSU-Oregon game went last year. Oregon competes early, then gets beat up physically for 2 and a 1/2 quarters and is out of play by the 4th.
Just for the record, KSt can only make it to 12-0, just like ND, and I think a 1-loss SEC champ jumps either/both and rightly so (not that I have any love for the SEC, I'm just not impressed with ND & KSt - they're both just as flawed as we are).
"The revolution will be televised."
And a 1 loss team wouldnt be considered flawed? No way a 1 loss team would jump the 2,3 or 4. Like it has been stated before if you have a Bama lose, they would need two of the three to lose to be right back in the mix.
Your not impressed with ND or K state? I would like to know how so? Everyone had doubted this ND team week in week out it seems and they have jammed wins down all the haters throats. Everyone was stating that they would get exposed by Oklahoma and that all the talk would stop and then they win. Then people turn around and say " oh Oklahoma was overrated anyway" you cant have it both ways. Dont let your hate for them cloud your vision that this is a successful team that finds a way to win. Thats how championships are won by finding any way to win. Im sure if the Buckeyes were bowl eligible you would be one of the posters on here in an uproar if we were to get jumped by a 1 loss even though we have not looked impressive at times this year.
K state took OK,WVU,TT and OKst (without Klein for some of the game) out to the woodshed. How is that not impressive? And if they go undefeated will have also beaten 5 ranked opponents. Which is 1 more than you would be able to say about Bama in a regular season. Same goes for ND and Oregon.
So after all that, I go back to No a 1 loss SEC wouldnt jump an undefeated ND,Oregon or K state but once again you probably wont have to worry about that unless A&M can create some magic next week.
