Looking at carries alone, Ball(245) has over 100 more carries than Hyde(144) and only 3 more Tds, and 60 more carries than Braxton(184)...would be fun to see how many yards Braxton would have with 60 more carries!(Maybe around 300 more yards and a handful of TDs??) Also Their QB is hard to find on stat sheets!(attempted like 9 passes in 4 years i think??)
Gotta think UFM is going to stack and fill on D and force hot reads by blitzing for the QB that lead to some big plays on D! Nice having some healthy LBs as well! Predicting big game for Shazier and Co.
Wisky has had troubles with teams stopping the run, and you have to like the third stringer playing QB, make him air it out and watch the INT's fly!

No way will Wisky run all over us.. I think they will get some yards and maybe score 14. The only way they win this game is if we are asleep in the first half, like TP's last season... I predict a 21-7 first half. I also predict a 40 14 final score..
Let's hope for some really good special teams play as well. I don't wanna start off the game giving up a kick return.

FYI, Wisky is very similar in their play breakdown to OSU so I wouldn't be so quick to call them one dimensional, unless you want to say the same about us(which I don't think you do). And you forget, Hyde has missed some time and also split carries for awhile with Hall. White and Gordon are no slouches at RB either for Wisky. Both schools are run oriented, although with different styles...so while we may be run oriented, defenses must account for Braxton as a runner(and a passer) whereas we can simply stack the box and force their QB to win the game with his arm.

Nebraska shut them down, and we've seen how mediocre their run defense can be. Granted Ball has gotten back into form some since then, but I like our chances. My concern is that we come out slow on offense yet again, and allow them to get a lead that they can nurse.

I never get over cocky and say were going to smash a team with the talent level of Wisky. Especially when talking about this years team. I think we will win, but to brush off Wisky like theyre no competition is just silly. Yes Nebraska shut them down, but we've played some games that werent very impressive too. Its all about matchups so never go by what one team did to another team. That "we beat the team that beat them" formula NEVER works in sports. Wisky is a tough bunch so I expect it to be alot closer than some of us think. Its not like they dont hate us too! 24-17 OSU.
HOw often have they thrown since losing their starting QB? I'm actually not even a little nervous about this game. We've played in a couple of hostile environments against teams who were supposed to be really good at the time we played them and it came out fine. I know there have been close calls etc, but I just don't believe this team is going to lose to Wisconsin.
I hope we dessimate their will. And steal all of their cheese while we're at it.
